The Best Way to Make Referrals

Hey guys! I hope you're doing well =)

This may be a touchy question, but here it is :

how do YOU make referrals? =)

- I was wondering if you'd be willing to share with us what's been working best for you.

I personally get most (if not all) my referrals straight from my website.

Most referrals sign up through the default link provided by WA but most sales and account setup come from customized links (with a video or a picture of me and personalized message).

I also get people to join WA after talking to them live, like close friends or friends' friends.

But I really have a hard time promoting WA via Facebook, G+, Linkedin, Twitter etc. It really feels like my promotions are almost unseen in the flow of status updates...

- how long did it take you to see more sales?

- should we just keep on writing content and focus on getting organic traffic or is social media also worth it?

Thanks for the feedback! =)

Cheers

Sarah

I get refferals from posting on FB Groups. I have a list of work from home groups and internet marketing groups and post to approx 25 each time

I have a standard text which is personal, I add to the WA affiliate link, like the post and enter a comment telling them to contact me if the have any questions. I use the WA graphic with Microsoft, Amazon etc.

This is the most reliably, free source of referrals I have ever used.

Every time I post I get a response, particularly if i do it at the right time. That was evening in Thailand which would be early morning in the US.

Cheers kev

Some of this is new to me and I can't wait to try it.
Thanks Sarah.
Terry

Kev, can you tell us how to post to that many groups without appearing spammy?
also, are they done individually or at a single post

I have had problems with FB Jail, been there a few times. I have learned to slow down, they have locked me up for posting too fast.
I just paste the text with the my affiliate link and it loads the graphic, I select the graphic I want then post.
(I was taught to remove the affiliate link at this stage but I have enough text so it doesn't display so I don't worry)
When it is posted I like it then enter a comment "Please contact me if you have any questions"

It takes people, on average, 7 times before they act so I post the same ad all the time.

The text is very important as is the time of day you post. I ask questions relevant to WA ie "Do you feel alone?" "No Support?"

Use the formula, Quote their problem and make it seem worst, identify your solution to their problem then tell them exactly how it will solve their problem

Hope this is what you are looking for, Cheers kev

Search using keywords from your niche. I just wrote a blog on finding your targeted audience in social media. Includes Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

A bit late to the party.^^
I am quite surprised that this works.
Ususally FB doesn't like affiliate links. Or are you cloaking them?

Cheers

I use landing pages and redirect to the offer. Cheers Kev

I see.
So people promoting WA with a website should just link to their WA review then to avoid trouble with FB. ;)

I have never promoted WA directly on FB or Bing. Cheers Kev

Thanks for asking Sarah.Got some good info from the answers.

yeah! =)

Always wondered about this also. I don't think social media is that good for getting referrals. Anyone used social media and got referrals?

Great news, Sarah!

Could be that in the ebb and flow of things, there are dips in the SM response.......

Thank you for sharing information.

Of course =)

organic search and ppc

Hmmmm thanks! =)
I knew I had to stop fearing PPC lol. Now I have another question. Do you know what is the minimum budget to get started with PPC? I really want to do this but although I read Kyle's lessons and what his videos I still don't understand how much I should invest

Start with a budget of 100.00 to test your platform and set the daily budget at 25.00 while setting the CPC at 0.25p.

You already know that your content converts so this is excellent for you to now leverage the PPC world.

Also, don't believe just because you set the daily budget at 25.00 that it will cost you this much because in the past I've had 25.00 last nearly 9 days it all depends on the CPC.

Make sure you use the revenue you generate to fuel your marketing budget. I usually take about 80% of my earnings and reinvest it to generate the snowball effect in time.

One more thing. I recommend retaking the training in boot Camp of Course Six so you can just refresh your knowledge of PPC ensuring your ad groups are relevant and links.

Hope this helps.

Sam.

I would support that and Kyle starts with Bing in the affiliate bootcamp which I also found really useful because it is smaller and slower and easier to get your head around. You also can start with a very small budget and play around with seeing how things work.

Google tends to be a lot faster which can be quite scary with a lot more clicks but can end up costing more if you're not ready for it - at least I found that.

Hey Sam.
Some helpful stuff. Thanks I learnt from your contribution.
Take Care

That's a tough question. I spend $1000 per month and pay 0.20 per visitor.

thanks a lot for the input
