I'm the 35 year happily married wife to a darling of a man and mother of 2 incredible adult children, both happily married themselves to wonderful spouses, and a brand new grandmother to my daughter's first baby. His name is Gio and I'm in Love!!
I've always been fascinated by shape and color and recently decided to indulge my passion by card making. I've also made some scrapbooks for my children highlighting their weddings. I already have a WordPress blog but haven't done anything with it other than creating my logo which you see here.
I spend much of my time on card tutorials learning various techniques to make my cards both fun and engaging. Thanks to my creativity and the generosity of other and more experienced card makers I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and would love the platform to share what I've learned.
UPDATE!
The reason I found WA was that I wanted to create a blog about my card creations. Color and pattern are what drive me to want to create a card.
I enjoy making cards. It's relaxing and, even better, gives me the opportunity to 'burn off' some of my creative energy. When I've not had the time to indulge my creativity, I find myself overwhelmed by all the ideas in my head.
What I like best about making cards is the opportunity to individualize a card. That requires I know something about a person, even something insignificant. I then create a card around that inspiration.

So, of course, I don't create cards en mass. However, when I find a color and pattern combination I love, I do make some cards that are nonspecific. It's more economical to buy paper packs, but since these don't have more than 2 or 3 of the same pattern or color, I can't make more than a few cards.

Many card blogs have tutorials on how to make a card.

Wait, you thinking "What? Just fold paper! Anybody can do that."
But, see, there are so many variations on folding paper; Gate Fold, Accordion, TriFold, Shaker, Slider/Spinner and Aperture, to name a few.

Now, I enjoy and have learned a great deal through these tutorials, and I had thought that my website would feature a few tutorials. However, this particular aspect of the card making niche is already well served. Creating tutorials, while exciting and fun, would not be offering up anything new.

Now perhaps my 'individualizing' cards would make a tutorial. So that's the direction I'm thinking of going.

In addition, I'm currently working on a Grandma/nanny website.

So consider yourselves updated!
Thanks for reading.
