Whatever We Focus on We Give Power To

Whatever we focus on we give power to.The question here is: What power are you giving in to and is it beneficial for you right now?

Making Money

If this is the power you are focusing on at the beginning stage then you need to re-think and change your priorities.

You see the more you focus on money the harder it becomes to receive it.

The harder it becomes the more frustrated you get and the more likely you will quit.

Most likely blame everything under the sun but yourself.

You need to take ownership and change your mindset to one that is in the growth mode, not a fixed mode as explained in a previous blog.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/apache1/blog/which-mindset-do-you-have-growth-or-fixed-mindset

This is why a shift in focus is required and what Wealthy Affiliate teaches is to write for your reader coming to your website.

As you do that and you are showing your readers that you are helping rather than selling the money will flow more naturally for you.

For those starting out online, this may sound weird but money is the last thing you should be focused on.

Yes, we all want to make money online which is obvious but to do so there are steps that need to be taken first.

However, when you are writing content you are also building a rapport and trust with your readers coming to your site.

They are looking for solutions, answers, or advice for their issue that you can help them with.

They don’t want to be sold a product with those buy this buy cheesy sales attitude.

Speaking of attitude

So if you continue to focus on just making money you will find your readers will just see a sales page with no help for their needs.

Remember they don’t care about you, they don’t care whether you are going to earn money or not they want what is best for them.

The moment they see no value in your content that is for them, the quicker they will leave your site, and guess what?

You get a snowball effect

As a result of not having the right focus, you will find more issues to be faced.

This is known as The Snowball Effect

Some of which are High bounce rates in your Google analytics.

Not adding value to your readers as Google and other search engines will notice this.

As a result, your ranking for your content will fall.

Visitors coming to your site will see nothing worth their interest along with no solutions for their problems.

All they see is yet another sales page so what do they do?

They leave your website and find another site that is helping them.

As a result, you lost a possible sale while your competitor who is actually helping gets the sale.

The more this happens along with not getting the ranking you feel you deserve, the more you get frustrated with it all and eventually quit.

By having the wrong attitude, mindset, and mind frame you are more likely to blame everything under the Sun except yourself

These are just some of the snowball effects you will experience along with less traffic to your site.

Suggestion

So don’t be the cheesy salesperson instead, be the helper in giving a solution or at best options and importantly give reasons for why you feel the other product or service may be more beneficial for them

Your attitude to your approach both in writing and to money needs to change.

You can read more on Attitude below.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/apache1/blog/where-is-your-attitude-at

So when you change your attitude, mindset, and mind frame from money and focus on helping you will become much more successful online.

It is not to say you can’t wish to earn money but as mentioned before your focus on money needs to shift when you do that you will earn more than you thought you can do.

Nice blog, bro!!!!! I always liked the ACT acronym.

Yep, what we focus on we give power to and that's why you must also learn to forgive. Sometimes that's a struggle for me but when I realize how much I'm thinking about the issue, I also realize I'm giving it power. The things you learn with age...........🤣

Have an early yoga session tomorrow so night, bro. Take care.

sis

Thanks, Sis and yes that can be one of the hardest to forgive.

Best to focus on forgiving yourself for allowing you to feel that way regardless if you did nothing wrong and it was the other person that created the issue.

It may be hard to realize but forgiveness of the self will clear the issue because you are the one feeling the pain, anger, frustration, etc not them.

Remember that is their issue not yours so when you clear the blockage of yourself in feeling that way you are forgiving yourself with the feeling you give to you

Enjoy the yoga and take care of yourself miss ya Sis

Hadn't thought of that view point. Guess that's why YOU'RE the big bro! 🤗

Off to get stretched, pulled and twisted .....

XO
Debbi

Thank you Sis and tell since am the big bro tell them to stretch you more. xo
Andre

Nah, being "compact" has its advantages. 🤫

Like flying under the radar you won't know it's there until you can feel the (low-level) impact LOL

Andre

I can't tell you ALL my secrets......

Debbi

One can only imagine what secrets they may be.
That's why they need to be in a compact bundle. to not reveal what is of value and worth.

Andre

Amen, brother!!!!!

It's not the focusing on money that does it but focusing on the wrong aspect of it.
Most people think about it as something they don't have or desperately want. This is a scarcity belief.
As you say, it is better to focus on the service you can give, especially at the start, not money. Instead, focus on how much you help people as the result, then the rest will flow.
Good post Andre.

Thank you Linda and great to hear from you again.

It has always been about the readers not the money, unfortunately, some still think it's all about the money as the saying goes.
Guess some will live and learn while others will still wonder.

enjoy your weekend

Andre

Hey Andre-san.

Well, thank you for writing this topic. I've always wondered about my content.

I find that having a niche I'm really passionate about helps me stayed focused on helping my visitors. Because I know it so well and experienced their fears, concerns, questions, etc... I've been in their shoes.

Most times, I don't know when to stop writing because I want to cover everything to help them. I've gotten to the point where I know I can break it down to new content and link to that.

But, sometimes, I don't know if I'm a cheesy salesperson in my reviews. How do I really know... do you mean having too many external links leading to the product being promoted? But what if I can justify that?

Regards,

Monica

Thank you Monica and always wonderful to hear from you.

You, my friend, are far from being a cheesy salesperson you speak from the heart and you also write from the heart with experience.

Just add what you need with the links as long as it shows relevance to what you wish to write about for your readers.

The fact that you have so much to write about is awesome and creating added posts to link to is also great.

Just continue to be the wonderful person I know you are and that will transform into your writing for your readers.

Blessing my friend

Andre-san

Good evening, Andre-san!

Ohhhh... thank you for your tip about the links being placed at relevant places. I truly believe they are. Ok, no more doubts.

Thank you for your encouragement 🙏!

Well, that's a fantastic feeling to know from you that I'm not a cheezy salesperson. Thank you!

Thank you for being an awesome friend and for being honest!

I hope you had a great weekend and I wish you an awe-inspiring new week. I just got back from a wedding out of town so I'm ready to get back to work.

Monica

Good evening to you Monica Sunday is nearly at it's end for you and it's 2.30 Monday afternoon for me.
You will always be welcome my friend and glad there are no more doubts.
Thank you kindly for all your words and always glad to help and support you where I can.
Hope you had a great time at the wedding and after your rest tonight you will be bright and refreshed for another amazing week ahead.

here is an image I know you like so tonight when you go to bed, think of the image watching over and protecting you while you sleep and when you wake up give thanks and become one as you soar high in all you do.

Except when you are diving LOL then dive deep and enjoy the peace and tranquility you are part of.

Sweet dreams when the time comes.
Andre

The concept of "What's In It For Me?" has always been the mindset of the consumer . . . Writing a good post gives personal satisfaction that we gave value. If down the road more traffic and sales come our way, I view it as a bonus.

Thanks, Andre for pointing out what is truly important.

Sharon

You are very welcome Sharon and yes it is and has always been the case of what's in it for me whether it is conscious or unconscious. thought it will always be about them.

Have a great weekend
Andre

That’s a great attitude! I’m now following you

Hello Andre. You are so right! Try talking to family and friends about setting up a website, with the intention of helping people. They say they understand but the look on their faces, tell you what they are really thinking, which is, " Why aren't you setting up a website to make money?" So many people want the money first. It is good to have support from a community of people that understand it is respect for yourself to provide good content first, with the heart to help others second and money later. Your blog is on point. Thanks. Yolanda

Thank you Yolanda and you are most welcome.

Yes family are probably the worst to convince so I don't bother anymore.
Whatever their reasons are will most often be negative unless you can physically prove otherwise they will always have that negative view and often many listen to them and indeed other friends and simply give up the moment something doesn't work
That's where you get the I told you so moment.

The main part is to believe in yourself and of course for us we have the added benefit of WA but keep going forward and focus on the task at hand and don't get swayed from what negative thought there have to say

Enjoy your weekend
Andre
