NEW Solution To Blank Visual Editor

So after 2 days of being frustrated with this issue I finally found an instant solution to blank visual editor...

I spent hours looking at every single wordpress support forum & the posts in here but nothing was working

I did the whole flushdns, browser cache & even restarted my computer numerous times..

Finally I went to dashboard inside my wordpress, went to updates & clicked "Re-install now"

And after that everything just started working fine!

Its really strange because I started getting the blank visual editor when I updated my wordpress the first time.

I noticed everything on the left side where my dashboard, pages, comments are at would lag over each other

So im thinking maybe this is some sort of bug??

I dont know but it works & I hope it does the same for you guys

This worked for me - thanks! I deactivated plugins, updated them, etc. but in the end, a simple WordPress update did the trick!

Thank you for this post, for some reason I didn't check my updates as the bubble didn't pop out, but after reading your post I decided to check, run the update and now my editor is back! Thanks for your help :)

Your welcome ginax. Glad it helped ; )

One day later. No visual editor. Tried a re-install of Wordpress 4.3 - nothing. Tried Mozilla Firefox - nothing.

Now I have no idea. Doing regular posting is now becoming a chore.

Interesting. Let me ask you, are logging out manually when you are done with your site? And do you have multiple sites open when editing your sites posts?

I log in through WA and so no, I don't log out of my site. I have other tabs open, such as Amazon Affiliates, WA, my photo plug in, etc. when I am working on the site. Do you think this will impact it?

Well I remember reading somewhere its best to log out of your site at the top right corner when your done. Not sure if that really impacts anything. Have you tried clearing your cache after reinstalling wordpress again?

What I usually do after reinstalling wordpress is clearing all 3 caches. so the flush dnscache, w3 total cache & chromes browser cache.

Usually the visual editor will pop up after.

Thank you, I will try that.

Yep, it worked. I have it back. Cool. Thank heaps. I would buy you a coffee if I could.
Duncan.

Thats awesome, im glad this solution to the blank visual editor worked for you.

I have the had the same frustration for a few weeks now, reading al the same forums and doing all those flushes etc. I will try this and get back to you.
Thank you.

Thanks for the heads up. I had an issue yesterday. I was on my third paragraph when I hit some key, don't know which, and my whole article was gone. Not in the "previous version", nowhere. My autosave hadn't updated for almost 30 minutes. I ended up starting over. For the time being I'm manually updating every paragraph. This did happen about two weeks ago also. Not sure if it has anything to do with the new Word Press update or not. I'm tempted to use Word and copy/paste.

No problem, yeah I dont know for some reason every time theirs a new wordpress update usually something happens to my site. So your best bet is to do the way your doing it just to be cautious. I have had issues where I had to re write a whole post of 1,000 words or more so im pretty much saving each paragraph as I go.

Looks like you solved your problem. Thanks for the heads up

Thanks, I will remember this solution when I need it again, have had that issue too

The last wordpress update caused a few problems , thanks for the solution

still got one outstanding to but hopefully word press will resolve those glitches

Yes it did that wasnt the only problem I been facing. Hopefully they can get the others fixed

What is it? Maybe I can help..

on one of my sites google is telling me it cannot communicate with dns have tried everything no joy, no problems finding my site traffic still coming by and no problems work with it either

Is it a new site?

no it is my very first site I started here one year ago have checked name cheap to see if anything wrong their servers being hosted at WA its a mystery am working on improvements and a change of theme on my test site rubix

Sounds like a great solution. Would love to know if this is a permanent fix. Please keep us updated if the problem returns

I hope so & will keep everyone updated
