Day 23 of the 30 in 30 challenge and I only have 10 articles done. YIKES!
How's it going everyone? Well as some of you may know, I decided to enter the 30 in 30 challenge at streetarticles.com. I started off pretty damn good, I was getting my articles in on time, and I quickly ranked up on the site. However, I got a bit distracted with starting up school again this fall and I ended up procrastinating on creating my articles each day.
Long story short, I'm on day 23 of the challenge and I only have 10 articles done. Woops....haha. I guess I got some work to do. I don't want to sacrifice the quality of the articles because well, that's just not something I will ever sacrifice. If I'm going to take the time to write something, I want it to be done well so that people will actually read it.
I'm determined to step up to the plate these last few days of the challenge and get back on track!

Let me share this message I received from Carson a few days ago. I may put this whole challenge in perspective.
"The 30-in-30 challenge has been removed most likely since you got the email from Street Articles. If you are doing the 30 in 30 (which is still a great challenge). Focus on writing just a handful of articles and publish the rest on your website.
All of your articles that you have approved are still beneficial to you, but the purpose of an article is to get your website traffic. Google no longer likes Article Directories as of very recently so it's something that you will not benefit from as much as before. Is article writing a waste of time? Absolutely not, but I'd rather see you build your business on your own website where you control your content and where your content will drive traffic directly to the site.
So, don't necessarily drop out of the challenge because it's a great motivator.. simply start publishing on your website rather than on Street Articles (or any other directory that you're working on).
You may not duplicate any content on your website no. If you do this you'll really hurt your rankings. Duplicate content just bad for ranking.

Wow that's crazy! I totally didn't know any of that information. Well, I still want to complete the challenge. I think I'll just write about things not necessarily related to sports, since my website is a sports niche. I'll just use it as practice to further improve my writing skills.
I already got 2 more articles done since I posted this blog, so I'm on the right track! Once I get done with the 30 in 30, I'll focus way more on just my website.
Hi Lee. When was it cancelled? I got an email on 15th August regarding it. sent from SA. So the challenge is direct from SA and not WA, yes? Anyhow xc, don't stress over the 10 articles, at least you've done that many and given yourself some real training in writing articles. So good for you.

Wait I'm confused. So it got removed yet I can still do it? Kind of weird. I really want to complete the challenge though, especially since there was some sort of ebook you get when you complete the challenge, but is that still available if you complete it?
Its the classical balancing syndrome between your studies and online marketing and if I were you, I'd leverage on them both to achieve a win-win situation. Good luck!
That's still something. I know what helped me was just sitting and writing in a time frame. Say 60 minutes and you write as many as you can. I know you know this already but you need to do a minimum of 2 a day and that doesn't even get you the goal.
Great job! It is far better to have 10 well written articles than it is to have 50 that are sub-par. Yes, we must produce and not suffer from analysis paralysis, but the quality must not suffer. You are one third of the way through. It will not be easy, but you can still complete the project on time. I know you can do it.
You said it yourself, you don't want to sacrifice the quality of the articles and that is the important thing. Good writing practice perhaps but not one for me.
It wasn't a challenge I took seriously, simply because I felt that it is better to take your time and get it right than to knock up a lot of poor quality articles in a relatively short space of time. Quality will always score over quantity, especially if the current teaching about SEO is correct.
