I have not been doing too much with my business for the past couple of weeks. I feel kind of stuck lately. I need to renew my energy and think positive. Does anyone feel like

Yeap. I can totally relate. Sometimes take a step back for a while can bring in a new perspective to your approach for your business.

I guess its part of the package. Wishing you all the best .

Cheers

That is what I am going to do. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

It can be hard to keep that postive flow happening all the time, sometimes recognising and accepting that can actually help to get through it, works for me, oh and taking that break helps create that balance and recharge our ideas machine,. Best wishes Evette.

You are so right. I have to take breaks now and then. Thank you for your response.

There are days that I often feel exactly that way...just remember it takes time to build any business, including a profitable website. Build at your won pace, but if possible try to do a least a little something every day (maybe take a whole day off on the weekend..remember according to the Bible, even God rested on the 7th day).

do your best, and just keep moving forward...do that and you will get there

Good advice. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.

When I feel like that I just go with it. It’s a marathon not a sprint:-)

You are so right. Thank you for responding to my question.

You’re welcome. Yes sometimes just stepping away and giving yourself a break will give you a fresh perspective. And sometimes you may find you want to go in a different direction. But don’t worry about it as long as you come back to it and still have a passion to do this you should be OK

Take a breather and you'll get unstuck, Yvette!

You are so right. Maybe I will do some yoga. Thank you for responding.

I believe that's normal Evette. I believe most of our members felt the same from time to time. For me, it's OK to slow down but do not stop. We are all different in adopting and learning new things with us. What is more important is to keep going with your plan. If you have question, just post it here so that the community can help you out.

Joe

Thank you for the encouragement. I hope you enjoy your day.

I have being doing google ads to advertise on of my website. I am receiving some conversions. Google Ads express is too expensive for my blood. I am going to stick writing blog

Jay made a video on ads express a while back, what is good about ads express is to use it prior to adwords and get an indication of keywords that your ad attracts and a ballpark bid figure for what you could end up paying.

Keep in mind if you do that and use ads express as "paid market reserach for your ads" then on adwords your max bid amount is NOT what you will end up paying.

If all adword ranking factors are equal then if you are willing to bid higher than those above you..you will rank higher in the ads. (yet actually end up paying less). Another key factor is site speed, (by google page speed score - looking for 95+ for where you are directing ads). This too can help your ad rank higher (yet pay less than those below you).

In shor optimization can save you $$$

Also, ad relevance to your target page.

My apologies for going off topic to adwords and not so much ads express.

Edit:

not wishing to discourage you, but adwords can get rather complex, particularly when delve into negative keywords, exact match keywords, partial or phrase match and so on. negative keywords are an absolute must - what you dont want your ads to show up for.

There is an excellent course on Udemy

https://www.udemy.com/the-ultimate-google-adwords-training-course/learn/v4/overview

very indepth take you to certification level wish list it - he happy to give ya a discount to $10 after about a weeks wish listing. The course is rather excellent..very long, and is used by Isaac to attract client rather than a money maker on Udemy.

I do appreciate you take the time to respond to my question. I am currently ordering courses for Udemy. I will take a look at his course. Thanks again.

wish list it and dont pay the $200 - you'll get it for $10 after a week or so. the most comprehensive adwords training anywhere!

I was spending too much dough on Google Express. I will purchase his video today. thanks again.

Book mark it! wait a week! save you $190!

I am currently looking to put together a brunch of videos so I could get free traffic on one of my websites. Google Express is becoming too expensive. Any advice would be great

Awesome! I'll check your profile for your utube link.

One of my niches is the financial niche and all I use is YouTube to drive traffic to my site - like all content you have to be consistent when creating your videos. So set a schedule and stick to it.

Not sure if you have access to the Cards and End Screen tools, if you don’t make sure to mention you have a link available below your video. I don’t monetize my videos, all I do is use YouTube to drive free traffic to my site.

I did a post a while back giving an outline my process - I have since updated some information.

I am an affiliate associate at Amazon. I am making several sales a day, which is great. I looking into becoming a seller for Amazon because you can make more profit. I am curre

I sell on Amazon with a professional account, but run out of products recently. Even though their fees are very high, you do earn more by selling with them. Just make sure the product you want to sell is in high demand.

I will make sure the product is in high demand. Thank you for information and responding.

I wanted to sell on Amazon, too. The FBA program has made many people a lot of money, but the key is finding a wholesaler to get your products from to sell, as you've already found out.

Doing my research I found that if you do find a wholesaler they are already selling their product on Amazon. That's the hard thing, for sure, finding products to sell that Amazon is not already saturated with.

I've also read that doing a private label is key to selling on Amazon, and that can get involved and way more complicated than affiliate marketing.

At least with affiliate marketing, if you fail all you've really lost is your time. With Amazon FBA you can be out of pocket a lot of money for inventory that doesn't sell. Plus Amazon will charge you storage fees to sit on your product that doesn't sell.

It has potential but can be problematic. Lots of competition there.

That is so true. Amazon's Affiliate Program is not paying very much. I am receiving sales, but are not making much profit. I did have 20 sales today, but I am going to get small percentage. I am trying to find a way to make a full time income, the Affiliate program at Amazon is not the way to go. Thank you for the info and the response.

I was a seller before. All I know is affiliate marketing doesn't involve too much work. Being a seller, you need to keep up with inventory and customer service. Add to that the shipping and processing of orders. If you'll have help - great. If not, you will be doing all the work.

I am an affiliate associate with Amazon, but it is not paying very much at all. I made over 1400 for the past a couple of months, but only getting 4% which is not very much. I would have to sell whole a lot of products to make a decent profit. I am staying away for Aliexpress. Thank you for the reminder. I appreciate your response.

There are so many crazy things involved being a seller - the latest one is that now sales tax collection will be required from marketplace websites like Amazon. If you are selling that many items via Amazon, I wonder what you would be selling if you worked with a merchant who paid a higher commission and had a cookie longer than one-day? You've definitely identified the problem of working with Amazon - among the lowest commissions in the industry.

That is another option. That makes perfect sense. I am looking at all revenues right now. It would be great if I could find another Affiliate Program providing me with a higher commission. I have a lot to think about. Thanks for the insight and response.

Thank you for the question because I would like to know as well. Maybe I need some clarification: You made $1400 sales & get 4% of it from Amazon? Or you made 1400 sales & get 4% of them as your income for last 2 months? If it's the latter, I would consider it's amazing. Theoretically, if each sale is worth $100, then 1400*100*4% is $5600. It's not bad at all, specifically for someone like me as a newbie for all these online business things. LOL. I'd love if you could share some more in details in this Amazon affiliate business. Thanks. :0)

I meant to say the amount was $1400 and the percentage is only 4% , this is around $16 dollars. This is really not much profit. You are welcome.

I am a very new Amazon seller you can ask me the i will try my best if i can answer your question.

How is it working for you Affiliateman for so far? That is good you taking the plunge. Thanks for the response.

I've got a good amount of experience in selling on Amazon. Alibaba is always a go to for suppliers. We've written about this topic on my site for a number of years so you may also want to check out a few posts we've published.

Great to hear positive feed back. I am looking at Alibaba and Alliexpress. I will look at the posts you published. Thanks again for the info and response.

I'd be careful with Aliexpress unless you're selling knock-offs. Then still be careful with the sellers on there. It's a shoddy system to say the least for disputes and so forth.

If you google Aliexpress with scam, you should find my post, but here it is..

I will stick with Alibaba . Thank you for the heads up......

AliExpress can offer you low inventory for low prices. Alibaba - you need to meet their MOQ. Go for AliBaba if you have the budget. I do not suggest AliExpress for makeups. They are terrible. Even the clothes are too. AliExpress is a hit or a miss kind of thing. So be wary.

Hello Tmaltz,

Do you agree the Affiliate Program at Amazon is not paying very much? If you become a seller, you will make more profit. thanks again.

Absolutely. That's always the issue with Amazon. I always looked for products that I could sell from anywhere from 2-3x's the wholesale cost to buy, importing fees, etc.

So if an item costs 10 dollars to import into Amazon, then I want to make $20-30/unit.

That compares to 4-8% Amazon commissions.

Amazon 's Seller program is the best way to go right now. Sometimes you have to take a risk, I see it did work out for you. Thanks again.
