About TedP

My name is Ted, I am new to community, and to ecommerce in general. My only experience has been working with my wife on her eBay business. I have an accounting and management background. And have also worked in sales before as well. I have a solid understanding of how business works, I also know that ecommerce is not only the present, but also the future. It is only getting strong each and every day, and it is absolutely the best way to start a business that can set you free from the every day grind of working for someone else, helping them to reach their goals and dreams, but never your own. With that being said, I firmly believe that Wealthy Affiliate is the vehicle that I can use to reach my goals and dreams...

Superb goals Ted! You have a large network and community here at WA that you can leverage for help and support along the way, myself included.

It all starts with a goal...then is followed by action...then is followed by results. This is going to be how it pans out for you and I can't wait to hear about all of your successes in the days, weeks, and months ahead! :)

Hey Ted, it's great to meet you.

I started out three months ago and had some technical background but no education when it comes to online marketing.

I love building my websites and creating content and to top it off, the community here is incredible.

Have you enjoyed the training so far?

Hey Rick,

I absolutely love the training. I understand the internet, but nothing about building a webpage that will have the traffic needed to generate income. I have what I think is a great niche. I love poker, and have played for years and years. Living in Georgia, though highly limits playing for money, which is probably a good thing since I don't have money to lose anyway. That doesn't detour from enjoying the game or casinos in general.

So when selecting my niche I decided on creating a site to provide information to help direct players to the top online casinos and online poker rooms...as well as providing info on the major individual casino games. The plys side of the niche us that the affiliate commissions are extremely high. My major concern is building the site in such a way that the traffic will be there.

Can always use insite from other WA members as to the quality of the webpage.

You can always PM a member to ask them if they would give you some comments on your website plus there is a great place to give and receive Website Feedback.

Go to SiteRubix and then select Site Feedback.

This works just like SiteComments. You give feedback on two sites, then you can request one site feedback on your site.

This reminds me that I need to ask for some feedback again.

Hi Ted,

Thanks so much for the follow, I'm following you back too :)

If you need some inspiration for your WA journey, feel free to check out my recent post:
I'm sure you'll agree, there's some awesome tools on here for Wealthy Affiliate members.
I use Jaaxy for all of my Keyword research and SiteContent to draft all of my posts for my website. Here's a little trick that will show you how beautifully these tools integrate and also SAVE you time:
Canva is also a great tool that's quite popular with other WA members, to design stylish graphics, like headers etc, for their websites.
Wishing you every success and feel free to drop me a line anytime!

Cheers, Karen

As you know, I too am new. I agree that e-commerce is the now and the future. I have tried other affiliate "training" sites but they did not live up to what they promised. I have been here only a couple of hours and I have already learned things and am impressed with their training. I think we have made a good choice!

Hi, welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. Good to have you here. I've been a member for several years and have to say its been a great ride.

There are many ways you can use the training here to implement a market and make money.

Just don't give up and work your way through the training "Get Started Here".

Ask for help in live chat if stuck and someone will assist.

See you around, all the best Mark.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

I was thinking about a niche involving Poker. I actually run a few free poker tournameits for a local poker league. When I pulled up affiliates for poker, almost all of them are outside the U.S. not sure how to handle or if this is too complicated a niche tontrybto start off with. The commissions seem to be very good, percentage wise, but I am not sure how they operate either. Would appreciate your thoughts...

Thanks,
Ted
