30 Day Instagram Results
It has been 30 days since I reported in on the progress with Instagram on our Fitness Niche. So time for an update.

Results
So the results in the last 30 days:
- We have increased followers from 500 to 585 .. this is + 17% in one month .. I am really excited about that result.
- We targeted to increase the Posts to 4 per week .. which would have mean't 17 for the month, we achieved 14.
- Average "likes" per post is 34 which is about 6.5% (same as last month) .. we did have one low performing Post at 14 and some high performing Posts at 64 and 54. Have not really found a pattern to that yet
- Average comment per Post is 1.85 however one Post had 9 comments so if we exclude that one the average was 1.15
- This Instagram is linked to our Facebook Page. The 14 Posts had an additional Reach on Facebook of 3482 per Post which 28% (our Facebook Page Likes are 12,392). This is a slightly down on previous periods but still a crazy high number.
What we Changed
We become more pro-active in attracting Followers:
- On our boosted post we added "Follow me on Instagram #OurTag"
- We have selectively experimented with additional #tags
- In our off-line marketing we have been promoting "Follow Hesti, #OurTag"
- We tried one "engagement" Post which got 5 comments, we need to do more of these. The Post with the 9 comments was a random result.
Take-aways
I am still learning with Instagram. Need to be focused on increasing our number of followers massively. We don't have enough numbers yet to produce the results like we have on Facebook.
If we added at 85 a month that would mean another 1000 over 12 months. Which in the online world is not sufficient to make an impact.
I am thinking of doing some paid promotions but the question is: Am I better off expanding our FaceBook campaigns instead because I know they already work big time.
We are close to being able to put our Fitness Niche into hyperdrive. I am not sure where Instagram will fit into this. We may just continue what we are doing because it is also giving us FaceBook and LINE social media Posts. So, effectively, it does not take an effort to be building the Instagram presence.

The hard part is finding an active and engaging audience. As you have found out, hashtags are very important as it helps target specific people and expand where your pictures show up. Always have a common reoccurring hashtag and as you grow, others will use that hashtag as well. Good work thus far, keep it up!

Thanks Quang for what you have said .. you have good experience. Two of the # tags we use are the same every time .. they are the Brand # tags. We are promoting to create our own Brand.
