I need to know if people are actually making decent money with the boot camp? Or should I focus on marketing another product.
I'm currently on level 3 bootcamp.
Any hel

Hi Markus ... good question. The "make money online" niche and "wealthy affiliate" niche are very very competitive ... I started with those niches myself but have not been very successful with them ... the reason is I am not able to put out sufficient content. Three members in WA that are very successful (there are a lot more but these three stand out because they are helpful and "share") in these niches are VitaliyG, littlemama and Nathaniell ... read their blog posts under their WA profiles and also check out their websites.

Here is a Post from littlemama that is worthwhile reading: I know choosing a niche is a real struggle ... when I have time in the future (I am talking 1 to 2 years out from now) I will start pursing the Wealthy Affiliate/Bootcamp Niche more strongly. For now my focus is on my other niche which is fitness and growing it.

Hope that was helpful.

Cheers, William.

Thank you william, that was very helpful. I'm going through a bit of burn out with bootcamp. I'm going to take a break and reevaluate my situation. Thank you again for taking the time to respond to my question.

Hi Markus ... sorry for the delay ... I answered this earlier but it seems it did not Post properly.

Firstly the "make money online" and "wealthy affiliate" niches are very competitive. I started with this niche too and have not been particularly successful with it. The number one reason is that I am not able to put out sufficient content.

The are a lot of successful people on WA that are making good money out of these niches ... two of them are nathaniell and VitaliyG ... search them and read their blogs. It is also worth reading littlemama, I think she is not at the level of the other two but she has done ok in this niche and it is worthwhile reading what she wrote ... here is one of her blogs that may give you an insight My primary niche is now is a sub niche in the fitness industry and that has been successful for me and easier to rank on Google.

Hope that is helpful,

Cheers, William.

Sorry ... now I see the orginal post is ok .. lol ... so you get this twice!

All good Williiam , thanks again!

I suggest to do both. However it will not easy as there are many competition.

You can do some research first. How are you going to "market" WA? What is your keyword?

check out jerry huang and littlemamas profiles and then come back and ask the same question....
both grace and jerry were at vegas again this year.
and dylanreiger - he built a site within a year
but don't expect quick results - you are looking at about 400 posts
good luck
phil

Thanks, I require results before I hit 400 posts. I will keep searching.

in that case maybe the mmo niche is not for you then....

Yes people are making money with bootcamp. I chose a different path for myself though

When I use a WA Banner in my post how do I add my affiliate link to it? Do I just highlight the picture and create link with my affiliate ID?

Yes ... I use the Gutenberg editor in WordPress not the Wealth Affiliate "Site Content" ... when I put an image in my post it has a "link" option, that is where you put the affiliate link ... it needs the whole https etc. Site Content or the Classic Editor should have something similar, it maybe you need to highlight the picture to do it. Test it after you publish it to make sure the link is working.

Good answers below, Markus!

Go to the dollar sign icon ($) at the top menu and look for banners. You have the instructions there.

Just copy the code and add it to your website

Hi, I picked the Chosen word press theme because of its simplistic design and great reviews but when following the Bootcamp training I found that there is no " widgets " sectio

There are a lot of people with more expertise than I have but here are my too bits. I had lots of issues at the beginning with themes. You may or may not need the widgets, it depends on what is included in the theme already and what you want to show ... eg if you you want you recent blog titles to show or search feature or something else.

I had a lot of problem at the beginning choosing a theme. I tried a lot then settled on 2017 Theme from Wordpress itself. Then last year that become dated with Googles updated requirement (load speed, mobile friendly etc). I found a lot of the responsive themes were not responsive enough ... lol. After checking out a lot of themes I settled on the GeneratePress. It is a very fast, easy to use, newer theme starting to become very popular now, no Google issues ... and lots of widgets in the free version.

What i did when I was checking out the themes was to create a Siterubix Test Site (so no purchase of domain name required then installed and tried a few themes. When I decided on GeneratePress I then installed it on my main sites ... I use it on a number of sites (some of which are quite basic).

Hope that helps .. Cheers, William.

Good idea to test them on siterubix. Thank you sir!

Hi Markus .. did you get my reply on the other version of this question? Yes I think you need widgets for any blog ... you may not need them for some business websites, but for a blog YES. That is my view, others my give you a different answer.

A suggestion ... try the GeneratePress theme free version .. to test it set it up on a separate Siterubix domain so you see how it works.

Sorry my delay in this reply as I have been away a few days in an area where internet reception sucks.

Cheers, William.

Yes I got your response thank you. I upgraded to pro so now I have the much needed widgets.

Ok .. cool .. Cheers

Widgets are part of WordPress and I am surprised your theme does not come with widgets. Usually a theme will have a basic set of widgets and then you pay for the extended version with more capabilities.

In your case, you may want to identify what you need and then look up some similar themes to see what options are available to you for free and then paid. Sometimes it makes sense to pay one time for a lot of time saving effort.

I can upgrade to pro for $50 which has widgets. I think I may do that. I don't want to lose my progress

If you use post and pages in your content without any CSS or codes, changing themes may not be that difficult.

You can do a backup first and then try a theme of your choice. If that don't work out, just restore back.

If you are really happy with the themes and really want the additional features, I would just upgrade.

Just my view.

Thank you Stanley. How does one do a backup?

Easiest way is to use a plugin. Marion made a video on this.

Thank you kindly

hi Markus & it's a good question and all questions are good ones here!

My understanding is that widgets can be theme-dependent.

And it really depends upon the 'look 'n feel' that you want your website to have ...

Jay does a fantastic job with his weekly webinars and Generate Press is the latest 'simplicity' theme ...

All the best to you for every success ... cheerio ... :)

Good to have though not compulsory. I used them though.

Widgets add appeal to a site by displaying key information in the sidebar to make it easier to interact and to get eyes on the content you want them to see.
I would find another theme .. there are many that include widgets as they have become standard on most Wordpress sites.
There are thousands of excellent themes ... one I have found to be very configurable is called Overlay .. the free version provides access to features not in most free themes.

Thank you, is there any way of saving all my progress of website set up? I really don't want to start over again.

Installing a new theme does not impact your content .. it may be necessary to tweak a few settings but overall it will just change the features and look of the website. Once updated, you will need to reset some of the color settings .. that sort of thing. Then you can add the widgets you want and really get it setup the way you want that will attract more interaction.
