Don't Let This Happen to Your Visitors
I'm sure WA members would not have this happen to their visitors, but I thought it worthwhile mentioning.
I enjoyed Kyle's training this afternoon, Saturday in NZ, and afterwards thought I should be more diligent about reading Google Alerts that regularly arrive in my email. I signed up to Google Alerts ages ago but seldom take a lot of notice of the content.
Affiliate Marketing is one Alert niche I receive. So I clicked on one of the sites, obviously considered an authority. I read an article in full, and I had a question. It was about submitting articles to article directories. A practice I understand is no longer relevant.
Not being one to freely leave comments on websites other than WA, I gathered my confidence and carefully worded and structured a question. Because the site I was visiting just has to be an authority, I took extra care.
So there was my question politely written in four short paragraphs. But where to now!!
Nowhere did they ask for my Name, my Email address, nor my website.
There was no button to click or press.
What a waste of time!!
So, please do make sure that the Comments section on your website is functioning correctly as we usually only get one chance with our visitors.
With absolutely certainty, I will not be revisiting that site again, ever! I have no trust in their content, nor in the management of their website.
Trust not only comes from easy to read posts with relevant content. Trust also comes from a visitor's journey through a website, or even just one post or page.
Have a great weekend.

Thanks for posting this and you are absolutely spot on. I have seen so many blogs out there that are badly managed in this way. They are badly managed in lots of ways. Thankfully here we are taught best practise but it is always good to check.

True Karen. We are so fortunate with the WA training. It's definitely the best. Thanks so much for leaving your comment. Much appreciated :)

It certainly was Marion.
How that website got to be a Google Alert I cannot imagine.
I'm sure the information on the site about Article Directories is well out of date.
We live and learn. as the saying goes!

I have had that happen to me before. What an awful feeling when you have given so much thought to a thought or a comment.
Merry Christmas, Valerie!
