Now That I Finally Had One I Didn't Know What To Do With It

Does that monkey look confused or pensive ? It's difficult to tell, or maybe it's that I am not able to read monkeys that well.

I tried using 'perplexed' as a keyword for the image but the best I could come up with was the one below which would probably be a better fit, do you think ? I actually prefer the monkey so I'll stand by my choice, not that it makes a scrap of difference in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway, none of the above helps you to understand what I am on about, so please allow me to explain.

We're talking about a 'day-off', not that it was a 'planned' day off and technically it wasn't a real 'day-off' but it was a day when there were no preexisting life events happening. May I remind you that this has been going on for about three weeks.

Everyday something has come up that has broken the 'flow', the phrase 'couldn't catch a break' comes to mind. It hasn't stopped me working though, it's just meant that I have been squeezing things in and playing 'catch-up' for a good portion of the time.

So, today rolls up and an eerie 'quiet' descends, that was enough to put me off my stride. I wonder if 'disquiet' would be a better choice, who knows and more importantly, who cares ?

Let's fill you in on a few 'In Other News'. I've had a nice run of EBay sales in the last week. A pair of oil cooler pipes (which I have had listed for nearly two years.)

Also a car, no less. The guy that came to collect (with entourage) turned out to be one of the nicest people you could care to meet and one with some major personal tragedy in his life.

It was a stark reminder that no matter how bad we think things are, someone, somewhere is worse off that you. Our own issues pale in comparison to what others have to endure.

(Found these online and have already put two into service with promising results)

I mentioned in a previous post "No Flies On Me" about setting up an autoresponder account, well, two actually. The reason was because initially I needed one for any leads that might come my way via a program I have recently set up.

While I was perusing Google Sheets, with a mind to set up one for said leads, I found another 'list' that I had completely forgotten about. I think I was given it as a reward for a purchase or a sign-up, not really sure but there were 400 contacts on it.

I went with the Aweber free account which allows up to 500 contacts but seeing as I needed an empty one for the new leads, it became necessary to set up a second account, make sense ?

So, now I have two Aweber accounts. Can I just say that it was very easy to do, even with me not knowing the intricacies of autoresponders, and it was free, which is always nice. Should the need arise for me to need more 'room' within my accounts, then I can always upgrade.

The other 'plus' is that I was able to integrate the account with the software I was using, bonus.

The dinger has just dinged on the oven, so it's time for tea (or dinner if you're being picky) At some point soon I will force myself to tell you about what's going on in the garden, just can't bring myself to do it yet, as I know I'll get some grief.

Hope you're having a terrific Thursday.

Twack Romero.

Good Morning, Twack,

As I also have a garden and I know sometimes it brings grief, I might skip your next post. I do hope it is not what I am thinking about.
We are making a small tour inland to Estepa, the sweetest town in Spain to buy the Christmas sweets. I hope you will have an enjoyable weekend.

Greetings from the south of Spain,

Taetske

Thank you Taetske you too. Your expedition sounds wonderful, I've just had a quick wander through some images of Estepa, the castle and church on the hill look amazing.

Worry not about the garden, the 'grief' (in a jocular fashion) is only indirectly related.

That is good to know. My garden is full of small and medium-sized graves where my beloved pets are resting. That is why I was worried something had happened.
Just come back, great trip, good temperature and huge bag, hidden.

All the best, Taetske

P.S. due to C19 there was no chocolate city.

Here is the link to a WA post. All the best, Taetske

Ah, I see. I think we have a couple at the very top of the garden but they were Goldfish from when the children were very young.

We have a large wicker basket that holds about eight tubs of sweets (Roses, Quality Street etc) which we fill up and put out the same day the decorations go up.

Those structures were amazing, it must have taken an age to create.

You know Twack, I'm going to have to invite you over for Festivus so after dinner during the annual airing of the grievances of those who have most disappointed is during the year I can regale how I told you about a fly swatter gun yet you opted for fly paper,

How much did that cost you? You could have had the fly swatter gun for only $7,95

Hangs head in shame. The truth is that I totally forgot about it, had it been at the front of my mind I might well have gone for it.
So far I've hung up two flypapers and they've netted a total of six flies, which isn't a bad haul. Currently, we have one (possibly two) errant fly that is rogue but it's time will come.
Ten papers worked out to ยฃ0.40 each plus the Amazon one is out of stock.

That monkey is looking at the guy with the camera and thinking, what's that Twack at!!!!

I think it's a great image and the monkey certainly does look deep in thought, maybe there's something we can't see that's causing him consternation.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Love it

Aweber is a good choice for autoresponder - especially now that you can set up a free account. Glad to hear the Ebay business is still going well

Thank you, Dave, I am very 'green' with the whole autoresponder gig, so it's good to know I got lucky on the choice and I now have enough on the list to make it worthwhile, I think. I will need to swat up on the 'dos and don'ts' of email marketing though.

EBay works well when I spend time working it, which is probably true of most things.

Waiting with baited breath! I am trying to up my game in eBay also!

I keep thinking of it as an afterthought, by which time I'm already halfway through the post. Next day or two but I can guarantee I'll get some stick.

I haven't listed anything new for a while and as such have sold very little. I still think if you list one or two items a day then you're rewarded with more exposure.
I also found a Sony Ericsson 'Walkman' mobile phone, listed it and it sold the same day, which was nice.

It's always nice when that happens. I just seem to keep procrastinating! There has been so much going on lately.

I can empathise. I keep hoping that there will be a break in the constant stream of 'life' events that seem to be occurring at this time but then I have had that thought for a number of years now๐Ÿ˜ณ.

I know exactly what you mean! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„
