Are We Missing A Trick ? (Untapped Connections And Follow Me On)

Well ? Are we missing a trick ? Are we not taking advantage of the untapped connections that are available to us ? Trick ? Is that a card game reference, do you think ?

Whether new or old to the platform, hopefully this might serve as a reminder or an insight into something that occurred to me a few weeks ago and since then I have been trying to become better at it.

We are part of the largest online marketing communities in the world. Figures vary, as to the exact amount but there are hundreds of thousands of us. All trying to carve out our future.

Within the platform we have an ethos of 'Paying it Forward'. It is in our nature to try to help each other wherever and when ever we can. Whether that is by blogging, creating training, helping in Live Chat or just leaving supporting comments on someone else's posts, maybe even just hitting the like button. It all helps and over time, which we know we need to make our ventures successful, it all adds up. It helps build our knowledge, understanding and confidence.

There is no self promoting here, which is as it should be. Otherwise, every post would be an advert for our own sites and businesses, WA would become one big billboard.

One thing we do have though, is the 'Follow Me On' section within our profile pages. It's on the right-hand side, click on the cog and you're then able to add up to ten links that you are connected on.

Now, I know for some of you, certain social media platforms don't 'do it' for you and that's fine. It is, however a chance for you to add your own websites, should you to choose to.

If nothing else, it is an opportunity for you to share your work.

As I have been making more of an effort over recent weeks I have also had the chance to

share other members work. That might be a post, a pin, a tweet, liking a page or joining a group. One of the best things is that it's all FREE.

Like I said, I have not been very good at this but I am now making a concerted effort and it is paying off. We all connect on here quite happily and I'm sure there are plenty of you that have built up followings and support through other mediums.

We can connect on FB or follow each other on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn or whatever medium we are part of.

If I see a post from someone I am connected with, I will share it, like it or even comment on it. I can retweet a tweet, save a pin onto one of my boards, repost and share through LinkedIn.

All of this just helps us all, it takes but a few minutes and it propels us upwards in our quest to have more presence out there on the world wide web. There are over 4 million posts published every day. Over 4 billion internet users and nearly 2 billion websites (Not all active but they still have a seat at a very big table that we are all trying to eat at.)

That's it really, I just wanted this to act as a reminder that we have untold, untapped resources right here to be able to grow our followings and presence in what is an ever-increasing and competitive world. We should take advantage of that.

Post, publish, pin, share, tweet, link, subscribe. Imagine if we all shared.

How far would that go ?

Anyway, this was just something that I have been trying to get better at and wanted to share the thought with you. As I said, it's not everyone's thing and I get that. We are already here and online and trying to build out our websites, presence and future. Why not make the most of what's available. Did I mention it's free ?
