I'm trying to figure out if I need to create a facebook for my website, such as if i link a social media on my website should it be about my website or should it be on my perso

Believe that a business site on your face book page is good idea.

You can create a Facebook page related to your site Traci, if you want to promote your site on your Facebook profile that's fine too.

It is always best to keep your personal and business profiles separate.

For your business, a Facebook account is an online asset. Same for your website. Should the day arrive that you need to sell your business, it is clean and easy.

If your business online accounts (your assets) are tied to your personal account, it can be complicated. You may not be able to sell off your business because of this.

Remember - when someone or a business wants to acquire your business, they are also looking at the social media clout your business have accumulated. If they buy your website but cannot acquire your social media accounts, they lose the years of valuable goodwill and following that your social media account like Facebook would have accumulated over the years.

As such, the value of your business is less.

So should i create a business profile from the same account as the personal one or start a fb from scratch and do a business page that way

This is very sound advice, I like the idea of being able to sell, if I want to, without issues.
Thanks

You're most welcome, Regina. :)

You can create a business page using your current personal account. Facebook will keep them separate.

Facebook Business Pages are managed by Admin Managers. You are automatically the Admin Manager when you create the Facebook Business Page.

When you sell off the business, you can assign the new business owner as the Admin Manager. Then remove yourself from being the Admin Manager. After that, you cannot manage the Page, which is fine cos that's the new owner's job.

You can start a page from your account, people will actually go to your page not your info. you can invite your friends to like the page to gain traffic but thats about it.

There are varying opinions on whether a business page or leaving it on your one personal page. I’m with Bryan and created a separate page for my website.

Some business customers don't want to read your personal blog and vice versa. Use the drop down arrow on FB right side and start a business page.

Thank you for your advise I appreciate it!

You're welcome.
