Hi Regina,
Failure to renew the domain will cause you to lose it unless you have someone hold it for you.
Do you have content on it?
Talk to me. Probably, we can work something out.
Hi, Maxine. We haven't talked in a while now my friend. I have a few posts on both of them
I will give you details via pm. Thanks for your concern, much appreciated.
Regina.
When you fail to renew a domain, there's first of all a short grace period where you can still renew it but at a higher cost.
If you still don't renew, you are removed as the owner and it becomes available again.
So whether or not you can re-acquire it further down the track depends on whether or not someone else has bought it and the probability of that is related to how "good" a domain name it is.
If you don't pay to renew at first they give you a small window in which to pay at the regular price. After that you will be required to pay a penalty which is usually around 70.00. If you don't pay in a specific amount of time then your domain goes iup for sale and you can expect to pay extravagant fees.
You don't really want to let it expire.

What is the consequence of failure to renew a domain name?
Hi friends!

Couple things could happen.
1. Someone else may buy them and build them out.
2. Someone who specializes in domains may buy them on the chance you may want them back in the future, hoping they can sell them back to you for a lot more money.
3. They could still be available when you want to own them again.
No guarantees on any of these scenarios. It's your decision on how badly you will want them in the future. I have about 20 domains I keep because I still like them enough to maybe build them out one day.
Thanks Jeanine, I am seeing this issue from a different perspective now. Thanks for enlightening me
All the best

Hi Regina,
It means that the site doesn't have a valid SSL.
If you trust them, you can log in, otherwise isn't recommended.
The issue is that I am not given the option of loging in or not. I only recently got approved by that program and don't have any experience with them as at yet so cannot say if I can trust them. The response I usually get gives me the impression the issue is about activities of 3rd parties who want to hack into my account.
The site has always had an SSL until now.
Thanks for your response.
Usually each browser has an "Ignore", "Advanced options" etc link or button that willl allow you to bypass the warning message and access the login page.

Yeah, you can use product banners on your website but mostly with permission if you're promoting particular companies' products like Amazon to avoid getting prosecuted.
Ok, I appreciate your assistance. I think I can use the banners because they are provided by CJ. I am not yet with Amazon but it's good to have this fore knowledge of this restriction for when I begin with them.
A million thanks.
