6. 2nd Page of Google
These businesses are great to work with, you can find them on page 2, 3, 4… of Google. They already have a website, they understand that a web presence is important, but they probably don`t know how to get it to rank very well. Some businesses have paid huge money to create the website but what is the point if nobody can find it.
What you can do for these potential local marketing clients is present the opportunity that is out there. Show them how many people are searching for them and let them know the importants of getting infront of that traffic.
You can then offer to set up Google places, PPC or work with their website to get it to rank better. You can contact these people via direct mail or via email, which takes us to the next part – Direct Mail and E-mail Campaigns.
If you are focusing on a niche instead of your local area, then direct mail or an email campaign is a great way to get in contact with these local businesses. Personally I have set up an email sequence that my potential local clients go through, but first lets talk about Direct Mail.

Local is not going anywhere and the number of potential clients out there is continuing to grow as the more conventional businesses are starting to see more and more potential in the Internet. People aren't looking in the phonebook anymore to find a local service, they are using some sort of digital device and that represents a massive opportunity for everyone here!
Great training piece!

Good stuff. My dad actually owns a Bait & Tackle shop so this local marketing stuff is useful. --> https://www.facebook.com/charlestonian.fishnhut. I'm honestly more into the online affiliate marketing end of it though right now.
