10. Tweet Often Daily

Twitter, as a social platform, is much more helpful for posting “higher volumes” than other social media sites. Although it is not recommended to post one status per hour on Facebook, it is perfectly acceptable to post on Twitter frequently.

You can tweet 20 or more times per day, but not manually. To automate your tweets, use a tool such as Meet Edgar or Requeue to help you manage your Twitter Time.

Affiliate marketers looking to promote their website or products on Twitter should schedule tweets and then let the platform take its course. There are other areas in your business that you can focus on. You can use these forums to make connections but keep adding quality content to your website daily if possible.

You have three options as an affiliate marketer when it comes time to approach Twitter.

  • Pay no attention
  • Stop worrying and automate it
  • Take advantage of Twitter while also being mindful that you are spending your time there.

Follow these best practices and get the most out of Twitter. Set up an automated system with tools such as CoSchedule and share your tweets. Log in occasionally to your account to interact with your followers and keep up your other marketing on other social media platforms for long-term results. Review your returns for effort overtime regularly.

Twitter is one social media account that I avoid. I have one for my gardening account but I never really spent much time growing it like I have with Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit and Quora. Do you think It should start a new account with Twitter for my MMO site? Jim

I think that this is a serious question, Jim.

If you are getting all the traffic you want from the other ones you use then no, I don't think so if it will take you away from writing content every day. It really is a big-time investment to get results and you need to be sure that your target audience is on there and will visit your website.

Just my opinion.

I have better ideas now after reading this blog, Lily.
I loved No.6 and no. 10.
In terms of tweeting frequencies, which one you would recommend for beginners? MeetEdgar, Requeue, CoSchedule?
Twitters itself also has its own feature to schedule posts, isn't it?

Twitter is not popular in Singapore, and most Asia countries.

That said, I still do post on Twitter. Just to be there. In case it ever blows up.

Meantime, I just post, and rarely engage.
