2. Start creating quality and engaging content
This is a crucial part of building out a blog. And this is where most veterans fall daily. You could have created more than 700 articles on your blog, yet, without receiving up to 200 unique visits per month. This happens when a blog is not built on a strong foundation (Blogging pillars/fundamentals).
I watch a lot of veterans struggle to create loads of content every day as if this alone would be enough to rank their blogs in search engines, not knowing that they are only prolonging the pro blogging journey.
This is how you prolong your blogging journey with the content you're writing every day.
- Your content must be 100% topically-relevant, informative, remarkable, compelling, insightful, engaging and helpful. And for all of these attributes to be completely found in your content, you need to be an extraordinary content creator.
- Search engines do not read through your content word for word. So, they access your content quality and determine its search ranking based on the quality of the people that link to your blog posts, the readability, the engagement and lots more.
- You concentrate only on writing, but missed out on engagement.
- To rely on creating content alone for your Page Rank, your word length has to go over 2000 words.
- And it usually takes a long time to rank with content alone (Without working at all on some of the top 200 Google ranking factors).
3. Work the right techniques and start attracting more readers
If you can work the techniques with the right energy, then you are guaranteed to attract more readers than ever.
Add the following to your daily blogging routine to start attracting more readers:
- Offer quality and genuine answers to relevant questions on Quora.
- Participate actively on high Page Rank forums through discussions and make sure to include your signature.
- Help people genuinely on social media and engage your audience everywhere.
- Create useful content regularly to satisfy your readers' appetites.
- Submit guest posts to authority bloggers and get high-quality links back to your blog.
- Comment on authority bloggers' posts genuinely to get noticed and create strong bonds.
- Connect to online influencers and blogging buddies.
- Help and promote pro bloggers by giving them free mentions in your blog posts, in blog comments, and in social media posts, without expecting anything in return.
Note that it's not in line with the basics of blogging to expect a return favor before you can help other people. Doing that will hurt you emotionally and you'll become mentally weak as this will not work out as you expect.
Tried and True
Elaine
I have been wondering about the blog
meaning. What is it and what is the purpose.
I watched until you stopped. I must begin following
all the teachers in order to learn some of the
computer language . That is where my lack of
getting something going comes into the picture, I
just do not understand what many of the directions
point to. I do not understand where things like
word press comes into the picture. What a plug in is
and so many words that mean nothing to me.
Hopefully my great grand daughter has said she
will come by once or twice to help me.. I am really
looking forward to that. I have noticed also
that quite often some cost information comes
into the teaching. That is just some of the things
I need help with. I am about out of money. I desperately
need to get something going that will bring in a,
few bucks. Just to show them that say" will not work"
friends and family members that it can be done.
I am ready to say I told you it works.
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work
that you do in trying to help us see the larger
picture. It sure does help a person like me.
Gratefully yours,
James
PS; My Son has said he will fill in the blanks for
me when I get my niche up and running. He is
an expert in what I am thinking of using.. Only
problem is he lives a hundred miles from me.
