What to Do to Start Receiving Comments On Your Blog
Though I'm not the best blogger to tell you this is the way to get lots of blog comments, I must share with you what I personally did before I started getting comments on my blog.
When you start receiving comments repeatedly on your blog, it signifies that you have good content and people love your blog for that purpose.
It further signifies that a lot of people are visiting your blog frequently to read and respond to your blog posts. New visitors get this clue that your site is receiving enough visitors everyday.
One of the areas most newbies are missing out is that they're just leaving their comments for commenting sake. They never realized that they were missing out on getting noticed by other blog owners. They did not realize that they were not building relationship with other people by leaving sub-valuable comments.
Some people comment purposely to get traffic juice from other people's blogs.
Days have gone away when "DoFollow" links were allowed in comments, not anymore. In those days, search engines would follow your comments up and make it share from other people's traffic juice.
So, leaving URLs in comment boxes is no longer yielding traffic juice. You can only get referral traffic which is good.
These days, URLs added to comments on all WordPress sites have been set as "NoFollow" links. Thus, it wouldn't be necessary to struggle leaving your comments with URLs.
Now, the following are what you can do to start receiving comments on your blog:
1. Start reading other people's blog posts
2. Ask your subscribers to leave comments on your blog posts
3. Start tweeting and retweet
4. Publish guest posts
5. Engage friends and groups on Facebook consistently
6. Visit other people's blogs and share some of their posts on social media.
