- Follow your competitors
- Follow your competitors followers, and those they are following
- Follow your competitors group boards (and the other collaborators)
- Find popular pins and follow the people who are pinning them.

I use Pinterest and , as with all social media, I keep my activity there very niche specific. Much as I like knitting and dogs my niche is motorcycles - and I only pin and re-pin motorcycle related pins. When people I follow have multiple boards I only follow their motorcycle related boards. This is beginning to work for me.
