Introduction
Pinterest has been around since 2010 and can be a fantastic source of traffic. Its widely known for its popularity with women, however men are signing up in record numbers. So don’t think that you need to be female to get involved on Pinterest!
Being effective on social media is all about your reach, or followers. Usually, the more you have, the better. But more importantly, they need to be engaged and targeted to your niche.
The Basic Strategy
Pinterest tends to be a Follow-for-Follow type of social media - generally people will notice when you follow them and return the favour. This makes the process of getting followers somewhat elementary - follow everyone - however, you want people who are interested in what you have to offer to follow you, not just anybody.

What do I know?
I’ve been a casual Pinterest user for years, so I know my way around. Here's a screenshot of my Pinterest profile:
I started out with ~70 followers on Monday (9 May 2016). I’m now at 1.1K on Thursday (19 May 2016). I've managed to exceed 1K followers in 10 days. This tutorial is shows you how I did it.
