You know you need to finish this particular work/task.

Take a few minutes to vividly visualize a moment when you just finished your task.

Try to be "in the role" of your future self - what are you doing, what others are doing, how you are feeling.

While visualizing your future self, feel a sense of satisfaction for the work that you've just done.

Did you do it?

After this visualization, immediately get to work.

As a rule, it helps improve your performance.

(By the way, it doesn't matter whether you have to do a physical or an intellectual work).
