As summer is coming quickly and people will be taking holidays/vacations etc, I'm wondering if sakes and referrals drop during this period compared to winter /spring time etc?</
Although Halloween sites, Christmas sites and Valentine's Day sites are hugely profitable the first website you create should be evergreen. It is called evergreen because every day of the year there are new people with problems in that niche. It's always better to work in an evergreen niche partly because you never run out of content and there are literally thousands of different products you can promote
Any time Chris, you are very welcome - that advice doesn't mean you cant add seasonal sites later of course.
Examples of evergreen niches are personal development
photography
crafts lifestyle hobbies
Internet marketing or how to make money niche
weight loss
Some things that you think re a good niche like acne may not be because there is only one problem, when it is cured there is no other problem. however someone interested in personal development will always be interested in improvement.
Hope this makes sense
I guess it depends on your niche, what you are promoting and the location of your target audience. If your product is seasonal, then, yes, that could be a factor.
The good thing about selling online is that it is global, so someone somewhere in the world is always looking to buy something....lol

Is there a quiet time for affiliate marketing? ?

To be honest, I don't think there is ever a slow time because when people go away on holidays, they still jump online through their mobile devices, tablets and laptops, so there's always opportunity for money to be made :-)
