I Quit! (My Job)

Last Update: February 10, 2014

Today is the day- I am giving my notice at work!

Quitting is never an easy task for me to do. Any job I have had to quit in the past has always been hard. I would say quitting this job is about 10X harder than any as well. I love my supervisor and boss, my co-workers are great, and the people I get to see daily are awesome. Great pay and great benefits, so why would I leave such a secure and lovely job?

Simply because it is not the job for me.

When I think about my future, it is not here. I also commute, which eats up a good chunk of time, gas and wear and tear on my vehicle.

When I am not working here I am writing, working on my site, fiddling around WA and also have a couple other projects on the go. If I work hard I will be successful, but I need to be able to commit as much time as possible to get my ideas off the ground and really flying.

My last day will not be till March 22nd, as I want to give them a good deal of time to find a replacement. I have great support on WA and outside of WA, and am looking forward to my new journey. This is probably the hardest step to do in changing directions.

Why get distracted with things that are irrelevant towards your life. We all need to help one another to achieve greatness. We all need to push one another and never forget our goals. Goals set up success, and success comes from the back end. Focus on what is right. Fly as high as you want. Be awesome, stay awesome.

You're quitting your job!? Interesting.. what kind of numbers are you earning from your websites? If that's too personal; then is your online business earning you more than your job? I just noticed no one on here talks about actual income they are earning. And I don't want to be nosy, I'm just trying to understand what the average affiliate makes, below average, and the top performers. Thanks.

All the vets here I assume are making enough money to have a comfortable life the affiliate marketers are all different as the niches are different it depends on the products how much percentage you get from each sale and what company you are affiliated with. So to answer your question it really differs and the WA is not quick rich scheme.

Every time I took a risk and felt like I was jumping off a cliff, ended up being a great experience. I'm sure it will be the same for you. Just curious, what was the trigger that led you to finally take the plunge. I know you mentioned it wasn't the right job but was there anything else, like intuitive feeling for it?

You must be earning more in WA than in your job, is that one of the reasons why you are going to quit your present job? Thanks for your post. Good luck to you.

Most definitelty not earning more than my job- yet.
I had some money saved up, and with all that I have learned and want to learn on WA, I thought it was a great time to pursue this full time for a bit. Even before WA I had planned to quit my job, follow my dreams and also move somewhere warmer- at least for a winter.
WA made me realize all my potential, and that now was a great time to do it :)

Nice decision there,TJ7774!! You know what, its always best in life to do what you like and enjoy. So if you find yourself doing a job or something that pays well but your heart is not into it,then am sorry to say you must await failure.

amazing, I'm giving myself 5 years at my current job. I'm going on my 11th year on april. The guys that have seniority over me is going on there 24th year. If I'll be able to quit sooner than 5 years it'll be sweeter. I believe the passion that you have working for what you love and for yourself will take you a long way. It should bring you more success in your future, not necessarily money but, a happier and healthier life. wishing you the best on your journey.

Good Luck Taylor, you stood by your guns as you said a while back you were thinking of quitting. I am totally with you as I started my Diploma course yesterday on my road to a new career.
However I was given two assessments already and I have four more subjects to go this week and the work load is quite big.
On the plus side one assessment is the creation of a blog so thanks to WA I have the knowledge on this already but unfortunately I may have to give my site the backseat as it has to be a separate entity.

All the best.
