Robin The Barn Cat Is Missing

The little tyke shown in my updated profile picture has gone missing for the last two weeks. He has been on hikes before, but the longest was 5 days. We are praying he is OK, he is fast and powerful now at 2 years and 3 months (approx). He is also very smart and knows how to cross roads etc. Just hope he has not taken a poisoned bait or something similar.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

He looks so adorable. I have two cats myself. Strictly indoor. I sure hope he comes back safe.

He is and usually was so reliable at coming back everyday.

aww hope he comes back soon safe and sound

Thank you Katie

Beautiful cat, I hope he comes home soon.

Thank you he is and we are sure missing the little tyke.

I hope he comes home soon. :-( Best regards for his safe return.

Thank you it is good to feel the wishes and prayers of you all!

Oh I love cats...hope Robin will come back

Thank you so do we he was just 8 weeks old in my profile photo and he is 2 and about 3 months now.

Aww, you must be worried sick.

We are, but he is well equipped to fend for himself and also is a very intelligent cat so we think he is probably OK, just following the movements of his prey.

However we are having a beautiful mild summer and he has had no reason (he thinks!) to return. He will either when he misses us and the horses, or when the weather turns real cold and wet. Then he will want the warmth and shelter of the barn.

We have a 34 acre farm on the edge of the town and behind us there is a 300 acre farm so we figure he is probably somewhere out there hunting. No signs of any cats on the roads in the immediate area, which is good!

He's a beautiful little boy. I hope he comes home soon. ~Marion

Sure is and he did like to come and rub my legs and ask for a hug each morning when I put the horses out. It is just not the same without that!

Keep a light on! One of our boys, who used to wander off for up to a week at a time, disappeared for THREE months. We were sure he was gone. Then one morning, he walked up to the front door asking for breakfast, pretty as you please! Robin is a beautiful kitty. Prayers that he's just on extended walkabout and he will be home soon!

Our neighbour who cut our hay field had one of his go for 7 months. We think he may have followed the mice which tend to flee after the hay is cut.

Just keep the faith. They are hunters, and he just may be on a hunting expedition. I have had them leave for up to a month already and then come bouncing home.

It is odd but we feel sure he is OK. He is so aware and fast at avoiding trouble. He was born feral and arrived as a 7 week old after his Mum decided he was getting too big to keep supporting. We let him come and go as he pleases, his usual habit is to return 2 or 3 times everyday. However he was spending shorter times in the area of the barn as the summer weather improved. No need for the shelter?

That and he may have found a girl friend at one of the neighbors, that would explain a bit.
