What a day! Got locked out.
No I don't mean I got locked out of WA or my site. My husband and I got locked out of our building. Luckily it was a bit warmer than normal today but still a few degrees below freezing. I didn't even have a coat or boots on. Both of us have been sick but I am doing much better.
It was not too scary since we had just had friends over and we found out the door was locked just before they drove away so we they waited to make sure we would be ok. There was a tenant home who was able to let us into the building but we still could not get into our apartment. We couldn't call the landlord since we are the landlords!
My husband had given a friend a key and he was able to come let us in eventually. Putting a spare key somewhere is now our next mission! I am not too keen on getting locked out here in the winter.
Yesterday it was over 40 degrees F again and raining so the streets were solid ice. We went to the store and I slipped getting out of the truck. I didn't go splat since I caught myself on the door but I still tweaked my back, knee and arm.
So today I am sore all over, still coughing and got locked out! What a day!!
We got good news as soon as we got back in however. Our real estate agent from the purchase of this building called to tell us we could refinance this place possibly, therefore freeing up the VA loan to use again! There is another building in this complex of 4 that is coming up for sale. If we could get everything done in time we might be able to buy it. There are some catches though so I am not holding my breath yet. It is exciting that is even a possibility however! With the VA loan we don't need a down payment!
Even though I have a headache and hurt all over it is a good day.
Onward and Upward!

Wow Jessica what a day you had! Thank God you didn't seriously injure yourself or get frostbite. Yes... having a spare key hidden somewhere might be a good idea. You had the bad first and then the good... awesome.
Take care and look after those bruises...
Hi Jessica, I am glad you are alright. It is 33 degrees F here this morning. If I got looked out even if I am wearing boots and coat I think I would make my peace with my maker.
It is nice that you ended the day on a positive note.
Many Blessings!
Luna
Thanks Luna. I will make sure we have a spare key somewhere soon! The main doors for the building automatically lock if they close so it is just too easy to lock yourself out!

Jessica - love your eternal optimism - luckily it was a bit warmer at only a few degrees below 0!! we complain when it gets below 14 degrees celcius here!
glad it all worked out and good luck with the new building

Thanks Ian. I am not sure my credit score will be high enough to do this yet but we will see and at least we will have a goal to work toward if not.
