I Have a Featured Snippet on Bing!
I just checked my rank for a post on Bing and was shocked to see my post is the featured snippet! Featured snippets are the featured information on Google and Bing that show information about a query above the 1st ranked post. It is like Super #1. Click through rates and conversions are much higher on featured snippets than the regular #1 position in search results. They are the top result and featured in a box. Wikipedia entries are often in the featured snippet.
This is so cool! My posts are also the #1 and #2 ranked posts in the regular results list...above Jackson Galaxy's own website! Here it is:
Ironically, I have been pretty discouraged about the downturn in traffic and sales this month. I am very happy to see this and have some encouragement!
I find it interesting the snippets don't use our SEO Description but actually pull from the body of the blog post. I went and checked my post and see that this snippet does not include the first Sentance of my post but comes from the next paragraph. This shows how quality content will rank and will be picked up and recognized by the search engines!
I have noticed I get more sales of the product in this review than any other .
Onward and Upward
