Use of AI is Spreading Like Wildfire
Within the last two weeks, I read one of Kyle’s posts about AI. In some ways, it reminded me of when he first told us about Instagram. When I read the post, I had zero plans of using AI for my business anytime soon. I’ve never been an early adopter.
Then Kyle’s wrote another post about AI. Then I I heard my finance professor mention it. This guy admits that he underestimated Amazon back in the day when they were considered a competitor Barnes & Noble. He didn’t expect Amazon to last very long. He’s not making that mistake with AI. My Economics professor also mentioned it last week.
Yesterday, my favorite real estate coach published a video about AI. I watched his video this evening. I came home and logged onto WA. I quickly found a link to sign up.
I signed up and tried two queries asking for lists. I already knew what the answers should be. I was amazed at how fast it responded. ChatGPT was accurate plus it told me that I needed to consider my target audience.
I suppose the real task now is to consider how to best harness the power of AI to meet peoples needs.
p.s. I am glad that I have been more involved with WA lately. I feel like WA allows my to stay up to date with what is going on.

I don´t know if you managed to catch Google's Live Event yesterday on its official YouTube channel. I recommend that you watch it.
As a response to ChatGPT´s "explosion" onto the scene last year, Google released its plans for AI yesterday and how it is implemented and will be implemented in all its products.
They also launched their own similar tool to ChatGPT. Further, they are integrating AI in every product they have, also Google Search.
From the Live Event, and by what Morning Brew, a newsletter about what is going on in the world, wrote a couple of days ago, reading between the lines, Google has been taken a bit off guard by the success of ChatGPT and Microsofts move to integrate it into its products.
According to Morning Brew, ChatGPT caused "alarms" to go off at Google´s HQ.
This forced them to adjust their guidelines as well as launch a "premature" version of BARD (the name of their AI "chatbot"). It will only be available for testers currently. For the general public, it will be some more months before
It is still early in regards to AI, so I would "jump on board" and learn as much as I can because AI is not going away anytime soon.
With the last move by Google, ref the Live Event, we cannot avoid it anymore in what we do. It will be tied into everything in the "Universe of Google".
Having said all the above, I think there is a common misunderstanding or confusion if you like, about what AI is which is why many are reluctant or hesitating to start using/learning about it.
The only way to fix that is to dive in and start learning. Just like it is with blogging. You have to start blogging.
Roy
Roy,
Thank you for taking the time to bring me up to speed on Google’s take on this.
I read about their Live Event, possibly on your blog, but missed it.
My thoughts this morning was about Googles future if this ChatGPT continues to take off.
Once upon a time AOL was a leader. My Space seemed pretty solid also. Out of loyalty to Google, I am glad they realize this could hurt them.
Granted, Google essentially lists all source references for their data.
You´re welcome, Sophia 😊
You got the point regarding Google and the competition. The saying "The bigger they are, the harder they fall", comes to mind in what s happening.
I don´t think it is the case here because Google got a good grip on what they do. If I remember correctly, Google has worked on its AI strategy for the last 6 years and has come far in the development and evolution of its AI services.
I remember AOL and MySpace.

A provocative discussion, Roy and Sondra (@SondraM).
AI is here to stay.
Period.
When I started to work with mainframes in the early 1980s, people were betting on when the computers would "blow up" and we would return to a world without them.
There was also lots of speculation about how many jobs would be "lost".
The same discussions happening now.
AI is just another technology transition that is inevitable.
Those who embrace it and mould it into what they now do, while adapting what they call work and how they do it, will be the ones moving to the front of the pack.
My 2 cents. 🙂
Cassi
I am adding another 2 cents to what you say, Cassi.
I fully agree with you and especially the last part of your comment which I think is the core of the topic at hand:
"AI is just another technology transition that is inevitable.
Those who embrace it and mould it into what they now do, while adapting what they call work and how they do it, will be the ones moving to the front of the pack."
The same prediction is what huge names in marketing and in professional writing are saying about AI too. I attended a live discussion hosted by AWAI last Friday which was interesting and enlighting. The summary from it was almost word by word what you have written.
History has a tendency to repeat itself and human memory is short-term.
We tend to forget quickly and do not review the past when something as huge as AI is happening right in front of our eyes.
Roy
Thank you for contributing to the discussion.
This is a fascinating time, in part because we can reflect on the past.
I’ve been disappointed that I have not been able to log onto the website today because their server has been at capacity all day.
Roy, I am glad you were able to see the discussion live. I’ll continue to watch for updates that you share on the topic.
I guess I have committed myself to it now 😄 👍🏼
I will continue to share what I find as I dive deeper into the topic and how it evolves in the next 12 months.
BTW, AI in content marketing has to be a super topic for a niche website 🤓

So well summarized, Roy.
I am sorry that I missed AWAI's discussion.
It must have been insightful.

These AI tools can be a very helpful aid to us Sondra, but in my opinion that is all they are now...
Let's see what the future holds my friend!
It will be interesting to see. I can remember way back when I had no idea what I would use the “internet” for.
Sondra,
You are right, but like some wildfires it might burn itself out at some point. Watching with interest though!
Jeff
The company that everyone is currently trying out might be replaced. However, the technology seems to have enhanced some big data efforts that have already been utilized in recent years. So it’s not going to go away.
It might not, but I am not sure how relevant it will be, or what the rammifications are towards our own content, Sondra!
Jeff
At the moment, I am thinking that little people like us should focus on “entertaining content” , hyper local and hyper personal.
Hi Sondra,
Yes Chatgpt seems to be the in thing now.
I asked a few questions with Chatgpt amongst a test that would relate to us as affiliate marketers which it made some omissions as well. Q&A with Chatgpt Creating content with Chatgpt with revealing answers by Ai itself Hope that helps you more
Andre
Thanks Andre. I will check out your links. I want to learn more.
After I played around with it more last night and this morning, I found some of current “weaknesses.” Again , I was doing my searches in an area that I am already very knowledgeable in.
Thank you Sondra yes there will always be weaknesses along the way with AI for quite some time but they also do have many advantages to help us get ideas etc provided they are up to date and Chatgpt is not up to date their's is only up to 2021 but still has many uses.
Andre
I agree. After thinking about your remarks for a few hours, I find myself wanting to compare it to Zillows influence on the real industry in the US.
As of this morning, ChatGPT is respecting companies data. It appears they are pulling from info in public domain and academic types of literature.
In order to avoid a blog within a blog post, I will theorize that affiliate marketers and content creators need will need to let their personalities shine.
Until AI starts creating personas- the AI material is going to get dry fast.
True now that Google has Bard and Microsoft is using Chatgpt will have to see were it goes.
Then again Google has been known to introduce a program then dump it as well
So time will tell.
The main thing for us is use AI to get ideas and structure ideas but write our own content as a human.
You have seen the results from mine when I got them to re write my content compared to my original one big difference.
Enjoy the rest of your week ahead and thank you
Andre

Before the motor car became a thing, a human had to walk in front of it, so they didn't scare the horses which owned the carriageway at that point. Who would of thought Kodak, the photo pioneers, would have disappeared into the annuals of history?
Google's unassailable monopoly in the search seek and find kingdom is at peril unless they change and adapt. AI is here to stay, and for marketers and online creators, the question is how we adapt, transition, and find the best way to utilize this new asset.
The ease of use could make us all lazy the real value is in that space where we learn to use it to grow our presence and knowledge. A healthy balance of self and robot will set our endeavors apart.
A total classic this week; it has been hectic being involved in filming a documentary, having to create content, and doing a presentation at week's end to provide options for a company restructure; AI was a constructive team member, especially at 4 am when the coffee still has to kick in lol.
I agree with you, Sondra; the real task now is to consider how to harness the power of AI best to meet our audiences, clients, customers, team members, and people in general needs.
Alex
Hi Alex, I’m glad you have some exciting things going on. I too am finding ways to use AI to make work life easier.
