You Are What You Think

We've all heard the saying "You are what you eat". And essentially that's true. What's also just as true is "You are what you think".

"Whether you think you can or think you can't, either way you're right"

How we think determines everything that happens in our lives to some degree. It's true there are circumstances and events that are beyond our control, but there is also so much that is within our control, and it's these facets of life that can go in one direction or the other depending on how we perceive them to be.

In the modern world everyone has become very health conscious. We're more careful with what we put into our bodies when it comes to food and drink. Many people have quit smoking cigarettes and cut back on their alcohol intake, and many of us go for walks, runs and work out at the gym.

In other words, we are extremely conscious of looking after our bodies and physical health.

But what about our mental health? Why do most of us not put much emphasis on how we actually use our minds, and look after our minds by nourishing them with positivity and productivity?

When people speak about things like the law of attraction, it can sound like a load of bollocks. Some people do preach LOA in a way that sounds very mystical and pie in the sky, but in reality the law of attraction is teaching us to have faith. believe in what we seek and what to achieve and don't let negative thinking plant seeds of doubt in our minds.

You see, once we start training our minds to think better, we start to recognise opportunities and act on them because when don't doubt and hold fear in our hearts and minds. We feel empowered and confident enough to actually go after what we want and truly believe we deserve to have success.

Monitoring how we think and training ourselves to replace negative limiting thoughts with powerful positive ones is a major step towards achieving the life of our dreams.

Let's all strive to nourish our minds with good food and exercise and not just our physical bodies.

Great post. I like the Henry ford quote! I believe in the LOA too. It's a bit like deciding to buy a new red car. Once you look for them, you see them everywhere. Opportunity is no exception. Thank you.

Great blog. Yes we do often forget our minds. I tell my mind to focus on breath to get off the negative thought train. I also write down 1-3 things a day that i'm grateful for to raise my positive energy. Thanks for the reminder.

That's the best way, starting each day recognising what you are grateful for. Puts you in the right mindset right at the very start.
