My financial goals
In one of the first lessons Kyle asked us to write down our financial goals and list them in the comments at the end of the lesson.
Today, 7 weeks later, I was working on my strategic affiliate marketing business plan and frantically searched for what I had created at the beginning of this journey. I could have started all over, but I really wanted to know what I was thinking when I didn't know anything about WA.
Lots of WAers tried to help me, including Kyle, (THANKS ALL!) but the My Notifications logs don't seem to go back more than a month.
After thinking all was lost, I searched the depths of my brain (not too deep) and remembered that I had made a Google doc file for them and other thoughts when I first started.
So that I won't lose them again, I am posting them for myself here.
Shell's Financial Goals : (As established first week of WA, July 10, 2014)
- $2K a month for the 12 months of 2015.
- $10K a month for the 12 months of 2016 and set up for ongoing passive earnings.
- A minimum of 21 hours a week from now until 12/31/14, but more likely to invest at least 40.
If you haven't already done this, you might want to do this as well. Someday you may want to look back on what you were thinking. One fella in Live Chat (sorry I don't recall who he was) told me he looked back on his 4 years later and smiled.

Shell, I know I didn't write a Google Doc for my WA financial goals, but now that mentioned it, I'd like to know what I was thinking way back when, (is it really only eleven days ago) and save it for posterity. Where would one find 'the My Notifications logs'

Those are some HUGE money bags, Shell!!! I like the way you think. I wrote mine down. Compared to yours they seem small. Still, it's a concrete goal. I want to be able to stop working. That's my biggie. To quote Danny Glover in the Lethal Weapon movies, "I'm too old for this s***!!!" :)
Ha ha, Sweet Shoe Lady, I added an image to put things in perspective. I tried to delete the more crass money bags, but apparently you can't delete an image in a blog once you've published it.
Hi Shell I know what I thought, when I can earn 300 a month extra I would be very happy, and when it became 1000 a month I would be estatic, how much time? 24/7 Loes
I suspect you will be pleasantly surprised how well you do. You are an accomplished and an accomplishing woman with many things yet to do!
Your financial plan is wonderful, just back it with a strategic plan with indicators to help monitoring if everything is going to your plan.

Good post Shell. I would certainly hate to be standing in front of you trying to stop you! I am a bit of a gambler and I will bet I would get bull dozed! Best to you Shell.
