I am feeling a little disheartened. I don't feel like I am making much headway and I don't have any sales. I know that takes time, but I am just feeling like I am not heading
Your lessons will lead you up to making sales. Getting your site out there for the world to see. You are also competing with ourdebtfreejourney.com and others in the search engine about the debt free niche. follow your lessons Get your site SEO ready if you havent thats where most of your traffic will come from and how to compete with others in your niche . Good job with your site for only doing three lessons. The world is in front of you. J B
Sean; don't let this "set back" get to you. I have been around longer than you and haven't got to doing a Web Page yet. I am just learning. You haven't even been around for a month yet I have no idea how you have got through all the lessons yet. Admittedly I have other business interests that take up time. You obviously spent long hours absorbing all the info. Excellent now just keep at it as it will come. Things always take longer than we think they should.
Hi Sean, I'm also very new at this (I haven't even setup a site yet!). But, I did go through all the training and then some...
I would say you should work on getting a way of capturing people's emails going. Maybe work on an ebook or something? Even though your traffic isn't converting (yet), you can still begin building a list from these visitors!
Besides that, keep on the course and keep pumping out content! 100 posts targeting low hanging fruit keywords (10-50 visitors a month) really starts to addup quickly!
Good luck, you're doing great!
Thank you for the reply. I have been through course 1 and 2 (currently working on course 3) and a lot of that is very helpful.
Hi Sean, I understand you get a little dishearted. But you are just a month into business. This is not a get rich quick scam. This is a business which need to be build on trust and perseverance.
Well your website:
Has 5 pages = 5 SEO keywords = to little - work on more content
that is better to get approved for affiliate programs too.
Here are some potential categories that you could leverage on your site (again, you can also be creative here as well).
Building Websites
Keyword/Market Research
Scam Alerts
Getting Help With Your Business
Motivational Techniques
Different types of jobs online
Keyword Research
Local Marketing
Writing Content / Authoring
Ways you Can Work From Home
Your header = beautiful picture but belongs on the about me page
It looks like a website about a family
Look for a professional header
Blog = You do not have one - start writing posts
Well this is for now enough for today, I think :)
Success Sean, go for it!
Loes, I agree about the picture too. It is not representational of the product. Your other suggestions are good too.
Okay I'll try to talk through this. First, thank you so much for your input.
I have 5 pages, each incorporated with keywords. I don't want too many pages do I? Don't I want to focus more on posts, or should I create a few more actual pages?
Thank you for the categories, I will definitely use some of those.
On my header, I was thinking that as well. I was thinking today about creating a logo for my website. Something simply like A Debt Free Journey. Would that be something you think would work?
On the blog, those are just your posts right? I have 5 actual posts on the main page. So I do have posts, I agree I need more (and I have some in my head, just haven't gotten them on the site yet.) So I was a little confused by this part!
Again thank you for your input, it is welcomed and I will continue to work more on my site!
I advice you to look at the website from TJbooks http://internetbusinesstoolcenter.com/ for insiration where you can write about, he has a complete ABC there, it's a juwel!
Sean. There will be times when you feel that way. This is a BIG business opportunity, so don't expect it to turn over big profits in only 10 days.
I see you are working on the WA promotion niche. Have you been referring friends and others to your site?
Remember that everyone's journey is different. I know that I haven't had any "sales" yet either, and I've been involved significantly longer than you. The same is true for many others. We've talked about it in blogs and posts all over this business site.
But, we keep moving ahead because we know we have the kernel of success in our hands. We've built that kernel ourselves, guided by the training.
So, try to move past the disheartened feelings. Do some searching on the site using the search box to find out what others have done to promote WA on their sites. Ask some specific questions that other WA affiliates can respond to. Then, when that first referral sale comes, it will be a true victory and you'll be ready for the second one.
Best to you.
Thank you for your encouraging words Allyn. I will push forward and continue working towards success. I will take all your suggestions in and use them to make my site better.
Hi there, I took a look at your site. I think you are off to a great start! I like your first page of content a lot. But, when I go to the other pages of content they are a bit shorter, which is often the case, but I feel like a little more content may be useful. Add some interesting and compelling facts about debt reduction or how much people are in debt. Or, how quickly making a little extra a month can add up. Ask some people from WA to add their testimonials--people love those too! It just takes time. How long has it been up now?
You're probably going to laugh at me. I started in Wealthy Affiliate on October 25th. I started completely new once joining. So the website is roughly 10 days old.
I know I am over thinking things, and things are not meant to be move super quickly. I am a hard worker and I put my all into things.
Just a little disheartened today =)
Okay, yes, give it a little more time.hehehe And, here's an idea, get busy on another website and just continue to put up articles with the low-hanging fruit words on your current site. In fact, you can even hire someone on elance.com to write the articles for you at a minimal cost. People that are successful at this business have multiple websites. So, what's next?
you have a good start, your site has a clean look and feel
now to keep adding content
you have a very important niche to work with, and it seems one that you are experiencing in a personal way
