Ugh! What if I can’t write?

This is my 1st month in, and I know I have a lot to learn.

Writing.

DO I have to be a good writer? Do I have to have good content?

I want good content.

Am I overthinking this? I’m hoping after a couple of articles, it will just flow.

For those that have done this for a long time now, what was it like when you just started? Was it overwhelming? Was it hard to imagine that your 1st site will turn into anything?

Just keep writing. Keep putting up content. Someone will read. Someone will listen.

Just Don’t Give Up.

Writing was my biggest fear. No longer... I wrote my 1700+ word post on my WA site in about 2 hours from start to publish.

I have a 3 tips for writing a blog post for your website article on my WA promotion site. It may help you with writing your content.

Feel free to follow me here and then you will see the URL under the Follow Me On section of my profile.

If you read it and you find it useful, please let me know by leaving a comment.

I just did a blog post about my none writing skills and what I do to get the work done. You can read it here: And let me tell you that you don't have to be a professional writer. What you must be is a storyteller. Telling a story about the topic you choose and writing it easy for a 10th grader can understand it. I get my kid to read my articles and she is 11. It works.

Stay encouraged and keep writing.

Fabulous!! Thank you! I will read your blog post.

That was a great post! I downloaded the app. Thank you!

awesome!

I bet when you like something, you tell your friends all about it. You have a great conversation and share all the details.

That's just how you can write a great blog post. Think of it like you're talking to a friend, telling them the pro's and con's of each point about your subject. Don't sweat the word count. Don't sweat focusing on the keyword. You'll find that both come naturally. You can do this!

Yes!! I do, and that is exactly why I wanted to start this in the first place. I love to share and help others. Thank you for your encouragement!

My first article was a miserable 300 words blog post, and that took me 2 hours.

I am not a native English writer nor writing has been my profession.

But writing my first blog on WA was a turning point in my life.

Now, I have a website with 200+ articles averaging 1,500 words each. Is anyone reading? I'm not sure. But people are definitely buying something through it.

I've also quit my 10 years long engineering profession to be a freelance writer. Most of my clients are from English-speaking countries.

You never know how writing a couple of articles could change your life.

Have faith and the doubts will cease to exist.

Cheers,
Kenny

Well, this was just mega inspiring!! That is amazing! Congratulations to you! Thank you sharing!

I felt the same way young lady. I had, or so I thought, no niche to write about. I had very few skills needed to make this all work. I think we all from those with the best skill set to those of us who continue to work on these skills, have all felt the fear and worry in our early stages. My breakthrough came when I found a set of subjects that were near and dear to me. Something I could just get excited about and stay that way for a very long time. I even had a number of folks tell me that basically my chosen niche was a bad one. Maybe it is but it is more exciting to me every day. I enjoy trying to help people, especially those less fortunate than I am. I am thrilled to beat the drum for them and wow, wouldn't you know it, the words just fly onto my screen. Passion is the key. It sounds like you have plenty of that. I think you will do quite well.

Thank you! I do have a passion for my niche, actually there are a few things I want to talk about, it’s just starting. Thank you again for your response

Imagine you're having coffee with a friend and they are asking you a question about your website niche. Say, for example, you have a passion for growing roses and you are pretty much an expert on the subject.

They might ask you questions like. Where do roses come from? Are they seeds or bulbs? What's the best time of the year to plant them? What are the most popular varieties? How do you keep them healthy?

So, you would answer her. You might spend 15 minutes on informing her how to keep roses healthy.

How you would answer her is a post for your website. So are all the other questions. They are all potential posts. Just write as if you are talking to someone about your niche.........whatever it is.

That is an excellent description! Thank you! Thinking of answering questions on my niche is fabulous! I do it all the time!

That's the spirit of a winner Sarah, don't give up no matter what it takes. Me too hates writing so much and in less than 1 month of my Premium Membership, I learned so many things here in WA and I started to love writing as I progress with the training. I am wishing you best of luck and learn to love what you hate before.

All the best,

Art

I am learning so much, just in my head as well. Thank you for your words of encouragement

But what if you can.

You just already created a few blogs here so you can write.
Write from the heart don't rush and don't overthink.

As you get the hang of it you begin to write more and also you will find write longer.

Do some added research on your niche and pick a time to just focus and work on one post.

When I first joined WA 5 years ago I never did a blog let alone what it meant.

The last time I wrote anything of any length was during school exams and that was let's say in the late '70s

Believe in yourself as we believe in you.

Relax and if you feel that mental blank at some stage take a walk or do something else

wishing you much success

Andre

Thank you. I guess it’s that same feeling as when I was in high school, turning in a report I wrote. I need a change of thinking.

I had the same thoughts when I came here as well. There will be content that may not be as good as some others. But that is part of life experience. It does get better to quote Abraham Hicks
" Let Life Come To You (The Better It Gets The Better It Gets)"

That's right Sarah, keep going, by practicing the writing skills you will improve on this, I remember the first article I wrote, I felt so overwhelmed I wasn't sure how to handle this task, but I did it and I feel so proud of myself I that I learn how to write articles for my site, you do not need to be a writer, just write like you're talking to your best friend.
And never give up.
Jacqueline

Thank you Jacqueline.

It's exactly the same fear, the same questions, the same doubts and worries for most of us. Just promise that you will do your best and remember that is all that is ever required of you.

Just don't allow those negative thoughts to keep you distracted, they are there to keep you in the same comfortable place where you don't have any opportunity.

When they come up ask yourself why, and remember that everything new or for the first time has felt this same way.

The key is to persist and to learn to be confident because you know all sorts of things. You learned to do many useful and wonderful things from the day you were first born.

Keep a list of your reasons for wanting to continue, and make sure you look at them daily multiple times. Create a board of visuals so that you can see what you are working toward.

Last but most certainly not least is to make sure you ask all the questions you have when you have them. This is a community full of support and full of friends so take full advantage of this.

Eric

Thank you Eric. These are all encouraging words. I appreciate you taking the time to send them. Very helpful.
