Get Keyword Density Right
Hello again folks. This is a quick follow on blog from my previous one for those of you who would like to check their article/blog Keyword Density.
With tough competition between websites, articles, and e-commerce sites what makes one more successful than others is the position a site gets on search engines. The higher the ranking, the larger the number of hits or traffic to the site. To achieve a higher position websites use the strategy of SEO optimization and content is written such that it is keyword dense.
As I said in that last blog, it is not as simple as using words repeatedly you need to know which keywords are relevant to your website and pages. Therefore once you have what you believe to be a good list ensure that you -
• Match keyword tag with content. Ensure that the keyword meta tag has around 900 characters or 25 words.
• Ensure that the keyword density in between 3-10% . And, avoid using the same word more than once in a sentence. Check keyword Validators to determine the exact density percentage.
• Try and maximize use in the top half of the page. Many search engine spiders do not go beyond 25-50%.
• Be smart and spell your keywords with variations and also include plurals.
It will always help if you go one step further and make use of a keyword density checker. This is an automated system that will comb through your web content and highlight words used in higher density. The system will enable you to perfect your pages and provide what search engines or spiders want.
A Keyword Density Cloud at http://www.webconfs.com/keyword-density-checker.php can be used effectively to crawl selected URLs, analyze word density, and remove common stop words. The tool can be added to your website and fulfil a vital role in SEO optimization.
Ok folks I hope this little additional blog will help those who’s maths isn’t there strong point when it comes to working out their keyword density manually.
I hope this info will help you avoid being penalized by the search engines. (you wont be accused by Google of Keyword Stuffing).
Please leave a comment or if you have any further tips for your fellow members.
Have a great day wherever in the world you are.

Don't know what to say Robert - see your blog "The Keyword Meta Tag Still Has its Uses".
But what I don't understand reading the whole story and other opinions of using the tag or don't use it is: How can a search engine know what your keywords are if you do not declare them?
Especially with the low hanging fruit keywords...
That is something I don't understand...
Grtz,
Bert
hello Bert
Opinions vary on the use of the Meta tag because Google with a few other search engines don't use it any more but there are literally thousand of other search engines that do.
It would be stupid to ignore them wouldn't you agree and especially so with your low hanging fruit keywords?
Please be aware that Google is not the be all and end all of search engines even if it is the biggest and according to reports manages about 89% of the search engine traffic.
Wouldn't it be stupid to ignore that other 11%?.
My advice to you is.
Put a decent amount of keywords within your articles/blogs without stuffing.
This is the basic message of my blog.
Have a nice day.
Robert
Hello Robert,
Yes, I already have been adding meta in my pages (again).
It will definitely do not decrease the search results when there is some meta tag data...
Grtz,
Bert
You got it and don't ever think that meta tags don't count coz they most certainly do whatever you hear to the contrary.
