So I've been searching about for a new niche to get into. I've had another website up for almost 4 months now and it's done pretty well on Google and I've had a healthy amount

Thanks!

Hi there again,
Follow on to below....
As far as YouTube...I would go for it
If its in your head and you are thinking and talking about it...
I would go for it
Afterall its a very topical subject or niche and you can promote several different aspects of it
And then to promote cameras, mikes, and so on...
Go for it, I say
Cheers again and best wishes
PB

Thanks Phil!

Hi there,
I hear your argument...
I can't help, unfortunately
I suspect that people will not offer any solutions for you ....because anything that they would recommend, maybe they would like to do that for themselves
I remember being in that boat, when I first joined WA
But I found a niche and that was one that I knew a great deal about...
since then I have been writing down on a note book other niches that I would like to creat a website on and I will admit, I have a pretty interesting list.

Best wishes on your next adventure
Cheers PB

Hey Rhys,

If you've followed all of the steps detailed in the following posts:
http://nichehacks.com/chapter-5-find-niche-market/

http://www.chrisducker.com/finding-your-niche/

http://www.pastmasterblogger.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-niche-market-analysis/#niche-market-analysis-starting-a-business

and your niche proves viable ... GO for it!

Suggest you also start a Facebook group so you will have followers to your channel straight away!

Thanks! I'll take a look at these :)

I also love YouTube, I think if you are sincere, engaging, entertaining, and have good content, you can do awesome. I would rather watch someone I can relate to than some of the corporate types. I like to see what "real" people do to be successful. You should totally go for it!

I'm definitely considering it :)

There is nothing wrong with going for niches that have heavy hitters in it like Forbes or other wise.

It is not a good idea to do so for your first site because of the competition but if you are OK with being a little extra patient than most than by all means throw your name in the big boy hat.

Jay's training is suggestions not law!

He is right, it will be harder to rank in those niches and it will take more time than others.

That is where the patience comes in because if you're willing to wait a bit longer the payoff will be that much better.

My first niche was in a niche that has Forbes and other bid sites like it and I am out ranking them in search for quite a few terms.

Googles search ranking algo is always changing and now with the raise of Rank Brain search is wide open and not all of the old "SEO Laws" apply like they used to or at least not with as much ranking factor as they used too.

In other words, if you are a patient person than go for whatever you want to go for because it can be done.

It's just not a good idea to start off that way in such a competitive niche with the big players.

But again it can very well be done.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide that insight! :D

A subject that will be the focal point of your website...
Something that you have experience and know how that others can learn from
This will attract the people that will be your traffic.
The more traffic you have the more exposure to your affiliate links.

This will help

Hi there, how do you find what your trust site is?

Hey Rhys!

I haven't reached 100% site trust because I use more plug-ins than they recommend. I do notice a difference in ranking a little faster with my sites that have high trust compared to a new one that hasn't gained trust yet.

I will say though that internal links have better effect on ranking though. And submitting the site and/or articles to google also have a bigger effect on ranking than trust by my experience.

Hope this helps :)

I'm curious about this one. If your website was say a year old (or at least had 100% site trust in the site manager section), how quickly could you expect your posts to rank?

Hey Rhys,

You could have 100% trust and offer low quality content and not get ranked at all ... or have 30% trust and offer great, unique, in demand content and get ranked on Google page 1.

Google picks their own "keywords" to rank a post and/or page for. You can see which keywords your site gets ranked for in your Google Analytics.

Anywhere from a few minutes to never.
