Thanks for the replies. Yes, it was called Pretty Links (I remembered it now that you've mentioned the plugin's name), and it does hide the affiliate links. It turns them into whatever name you want to give the link, and when you hover your mouse over the link it doesn't look like it's an affiliate link. It displays as www.yoursite.com/some-generic-name, and only shows up as an affiliate link when the page that the link directs to actually loads in the browser. And I can't call this anything but hiding :)

I haven't seen this covered in the training videos here at WA, and I remember it being a pretty big deal some 6-7 years ago when I last had a website ranking in Google. Not sure if this is needed anymore or not, which is why I asked.

Anyway, thanks again for the update. I'll figure out whether or not I should bother with this when the right time comes. For now I need to get a website up and running ASAP, and considering that I'm not a native English speaker and that it usually takes me 5-6 hours to write an article from scratch (after doing the research for like 1, or 2 hours), and considering that I need to have at least 5-10 articles ready for the initial phase... well, it's gonna take some time until I need to worry about beautifying my affiliate links :)

Cheers!

Those plugins aren't designed to "hide" your affiliate links - they're just designed to make them easier to manage.

You should never "hide" affiliate links - instead you should always be transparent to your visitors that you recommendations are done so through affiliate links.

But yeah, as Robert mentioned one of those plugins is called Pretty Links... But there are plenty of others, like ThirstyAffiliates etc.

You might mean Pretty Links

Hi,

I've been banned from the adsense program because I've purchased clicks some 5-6 years ago, and before I take the premium upgrade of WA I would like to know if WA fo

Thanks everyone for your replies. Back in the day when I was making money with affiliate marketing (around 2011) Adsense has been the easiest way to make money due to its nature (getting paid when people clicked, rather than bought a product). Amazon has also been a good option later on (I'm talking about methods available to Romanians).

All other big networks have been extremely exclusive (only available to experienced marketers, or to US marketers, etc.) which is why I have always relied on adsense.

Anyway, since 2012 when I have stopped doing internet marketing things have probably changed a little, other affiliate networks have probably sprung up, while others have probably disappeared (wondering about Clickbank).

I don't know why but I thought that WA is about making money with Adsense, but apparently (by looking at the premium options and by going through the lessons) it's more than that, which is good actually. So yeah, I'm gonna go premium and see what monetization options are available to me, personally.

Again, thanks for your replies, and hopefully by the end of the year I'll generate a steady income of $200-300 a month, or per site. That will be a good start for me.

Cheers!

The main way that you are taught to monetize your website is affiliate marketing, which to be honest, is way better than adsense or ads in general.

With 2.5K to 3K visitors to my website on a monthly basis, I'm making $35 - $50 with adsense, whereas I'm making over $200 with affiliate marketing, so it's obvious that affiliate marketing is a better way to monetize your website than ads.

I know about MediaVine, but like somebody already mentioned, you need at least 25000 sessions per month, which is not going to be easy. You can also try Medianet. I heard they're pretty good too.

You're pretty much free to monetize it as you see fit as long as its legal, etc. wherever as programs, affiliate programs and so on...

MediaVine is a great option but you need at least 25000 sessions per month on your site. Like adsense, they put ads on your site.

Ads is just one of the many monetisation methods you can implement with a website that has traffic though. The training will show you how to make money through affiliate marketing - promoting someone else's products for a commission.

Hope this helps.

Banned from adsense, what other monetizations are there?
