Very Disappointed
Hi guys,
Yesterday I woke up at 2am because I had a blog to write and post on my website. It was my offday so I had to take full advantage. My goal was to finish typing, editing, proofreading, put images as well as post 10 products on WooCommerce.
I managed to to do all of them and then as I had finished with my SEO Checklist as recommended by Jay, I noticed something funny with my post. All the edits including images, links and part of the content was gone!
Oops! What? I closed up my computer and restarted it then opened the document once more and believe you me all the major changes I had done the whole day we're JUST GONE for good! It was 7pm and I was already very exhausted and wanted to sleep because I was to start job at 3am today.
I can't tell why and how this happened despite saving the changes every few steps I took. Well, to cut the long story short, I took more than two more hours to fix the mess.
Has anyone else encounterd this and what could this be? Is it the problem with word press or its WA host issue? Am still wondering how to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Paul.

Paul, I'm so sorry that you lost your hard efforts. I have lost lots of
Great post! But have no idea what happened and where it went.
Maybe site support can help you retrieve it.
Thanks for sharing. your dissapointment.

Thank you Louisa. I didn't loose the entire post only the editing part of it which took me a lot of time.
Seems strange but then again so do comments within threads that are either just not displaying or have been deleted.
Yeah this is strange to me either and am not getting satisfactorily explanation as to why it happened
I have PM'd Carson 4 days ago and nothing and had to log a ticket with support who only deals with Website issues.
Everything was fine up to a few days ago, so something has changed with the software.
Who knows because I can't get answers.
A lot of members are getting peeved! This is not good!

Things such as this should be sorted by people who know exactly what is happening and that is Kyle and Carson, right?
Sorry to hear about your experience bro. I haven't had any major issues. Personally I don't use site content. I still go the old school way and so far its worked well for me. It could be the new interface. Anyway my advise. Keep on keeping on.
Thank you. Yes, I've been using the old school method for long too but I liked the new interface especially with the site content, I mean it has some cool features that I love. May be it has some hiccups that I hope should be ironed out as time goes by.
Are you using site content here at WA Paul, it auto saves our work as we go, it has auto saved me.
Yes Alex I do, after constructing my content I posted on my website and that's where I added images and other edits. Infact what remained is what I had written on site content everything else disappeared including meta description and links that I included in WordPress.
Sorry you had to go through this frustration. Did you write everything in Site Content Paul? If so, could be a glitch.
I still write the "old fashioned way" producing my original blog post in a Word Document then copying and pasting over. I personally feel more comfortable this way, and have not had any problems.
Yes I use SiteContent a lot and I love the feature of auto save. After publishing my post I did some more editing including images, links and products. Thank God the basic content from Site Content remained. Am not sure if the problem is with WordPress or what?
Has it to do with the recent Interface Change might be questioned.
I can relate the hardship of writing a blog and everyone else will.
Let's solve this.
I still don't understand and if it's connected to the new interface then something has to be done because it's so disappointing to waste a whole day's job just like that.
Am still waiting may be there's a better explation, I hope.
I have had problems with the interface lately too.
I know we just had a whole new look and interface. But if there are bugs or problems, it would be nice to hear from Support about it.
1. So that we are aware.
2. So that we can circumvent the issues, avoid it or don't do steps that are due to these issues.
But Support has been silent. And that is not nice.
Hi Tim,
I remember reading one of your blogs here about a problem you encountered when posting here at WA and I can now relate very well with you after what happened to me yesterday.
Did you contact the support about it? Am just assuming it's something connected to the new interface which I think should get sorted out quickly.
I hope we will get an explanation from the support soon.
Paul.
Thanks Paul. I thought I did contact Support. No answers from them.
Totally agree with you that this should be sorted out quickly. And the very least, Kyle, Carson and Support should offer some explanation.

Hi Paul, I am very sorry to learn of the misfortune with your content. I don't how this could happen, or how to overcome it in the future. It is scary, and I hope it never happens again.
Thanks Valerie and it's my prayer too that it doesn't happen again.
