Vodka and Tonic๏ปฟ

It was my go-to yuppie drink back in the day when I could lay claim to membership of that "exclusive" group.

But now that I'm minding my daughter's house and cats while she and her partner are travelling in Europe, I've rediscovered it.

A search of her pantry turned up a bottle of vodka and several bottles of tonic.

So, vodka into the freezer (it freezes well below the freezing point of water, so gets cold without freezing solid) and tonic into the fridge.

So here I am, reliving my yuppie days while working on my websites.

Doesn't get much better!

Vodka and redbull then vodka, lime juice and lemonade were consumed by myself more often than not back in my youth Phil!

Can't stand the stuff nowadays though....

If I ever drink any spirits these days it has to be a gin and tonic!

Leave your daughter a bit left in the bottle for when she returns my friend :-)

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰

Such great advice, but too late, I'm afraid. Guess I'll just have to replace it.

That is an even better option Phil! :-)

And not drink the replacement. That's the difficult bit!

That's why I always find it beneficial to buy the replacement just before leaving Phil! :-)

Superb advice, Nick.

Works for me Phil!

WHOOO, I can't love this post enough!! I'm a vodka girl too and it mixes well with practically anything. Or all by itself... I love a vodka & tonic. But also really enjoy Sapphire Gin & Tonic with lime too!!๐Ÿธ

They all sound good, Alice.

I also enjoy a good red wine. Partial to Chilean wines but open to all.

I like a crisp Chilean white but prefer the Aussie reds.

I don't know that I've ever had an Aussie wine so I must try now ๐Ÿท

There are plenty, for both domestic consumption and export. If you like a full-bodied red, try one of our Shiraz.

I do enjoy a full bodied red so I'm on a mission to find a Shiraz!! We have a very nice wine store called Total Wine that carries wines from all wine regions of the world. I'm going to look for it. I'll keep you posted!๐Ÿ˜

I do hope you like it, Alice.

Well, I've never met a wine I didn't like so there's that ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
Haha!

Glad you're enjoying your cat duties! When I was in high school, we used to drink Ripple because it was cheap. I'll bet not many people remember that stuff (for two reasons!) Why does it say, "1 new" and "load now" on some of the comments people left you? I must have missed something.

What's Ripple? Is it an American thing?

Must be. I don't think it's around anymore. It tasted like soda pop!

Over-sugared, I imagine.

Cheap wine, consumed long, long ago, in a galaxy far away (1960s)...answering for a friend :-)

Of course!

I remember the 60s well.

I don't really have a sweet tooth, so not a fan of sugary drinks.

I don't know you that well, but here's where I'm obligated to say, "That's because you're so sweet already!"

Haha.

Hi Phil.
I prefer Gin-Tonic or Tequila-Bitter ๐Ÿ‹

I last drank Vodka 30 years ago.

Greetings,
Slavka ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿน

Time to get reacquainted then lol.

I am no longer familiar with Vodka, Phil.

I think I might be getting too familiar, Slavka!

Well, your choice.
I wouldn't want to interfere with someone's choice and taste for those things.

As long as it is moderate with alcohol consumption.

Moderation is the key.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm old school - gin and tonic for me - especially on a sunny evening in the garden ๐Ÿธ

Don't mind a G&T, but do enjoy a Vodka occasionally.
