Millionaires Mindset Introduction

Two of my WA-friends (VeronicasLuv and Johnwnewman) inspired me to read the book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” by T. Harv Eker. He is an author, businessman and a very known motivational speaker. He was born 1954 in Canada where he also grew up. Now he lives and works in the United States. He has experienced the ups and downs in business life himself. In his twenties he started several businesses, but they were not very successful. One day he got inspired by a friend of his father, who told him that rich and wealthy people all have the same kind of thought structure, which middle income earners and poor people do not have. He then decided to study and learn how rich people think and how they act. Eker discovered that it really was true – rich and wealthy people do have a certain way of thinking and taking action than less successful people. Eker soon became aware of how his own thoughts prevented him getting rich. He founded a retail fitness store and followed the new principles of thinking he had learned. He made within only a couple of years millions of dollars.

The conclusion is:
If we want to be successful, if we want to be independent and wealthy, we have to change our behavioural pattern.

“If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots.
If you want to change the visible, you must first change the invisible.”

Quote by T. Harv Eker

How does our behavioural pattern arise?

Eker describes the process of manifestation as followed:

Thoughts leads to Feelings,

Feelings leads to Actions,

Actions leads to Results.

But where from does our thoughts originate? As a child, we get characterised by our nearest relatives, friends, teachers and so on. Therefore, it is obvious that the social environment does condition our thoughts and behaviour – we learn to think and behave as the people around us do.

As we grow older we start to develop our own thoughts but it recalls past experiences, the information files deep inside our brain.

The first exercise to do in order to be able to change into a Millionaires Mindset is to analyse our thought structure. First, we have to find out how we think today, so that we can decide which thoughts we may want to keep and which thoughts we must change if we want to get successful.

As I wrote down my thoughts about Money, Wealth and Wealthy People which are deeply rooted since my childhood, I discovered just like T. Harv Eker, that my thoughts have prevented me from taking chances and getting really successful. We can’t possibly get successful and rich if we have reluctant thoughts about rich and successful people.

This book is opening up my eyes, indeed. I can highly recommend you to read it.

If you don’t have much time to read – you are very welcome to read my coming Blogpost series: Millionaires Mindset – Wealth Files.

I’m very much looking forward to hear your comments and inputs.

Have to read it now.

Craig, you'll defintly not regret reading this book.

I highly recommend to not only read it, but also Do the tasks (take action) at the end of each chapter.

Wish you a prosperous business, and a happy weekend!
:-)

Started reading it last night. So far so good. I find though, that it might not appeal to some people who are only looking for financial advice. Given that he discusses the need to work on our emotional/ mental/ spiritual sides, there will be some people who are put off by that, which is unfortunate.

Craig, you are a man of action - already reading the book! Great!

Thank you very much for your interesting input. Well, I believe, if someone feels put off in that case, they have not yet realised how powerful thoughts are.

The Quote of Eker says a great deal:
"If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots.
If you want to change the visible, you must first change the invisible.”

Anyhow, I hope it will give You some inspiration.
:-)

I think it will provide plenty of inspiration.

I am glad that I already have some experience/ belief in the power of our thoughts, the Law of Attraction and similar notions. I have seen what they can accomplish first hand. My main issue has always been applying them to myself, but it sounds as though this book might help with that.

Thank you.

I love your "Reader's Digest" version of the book. You have done an excellent job re-capping key points.

Can't wait to read more of your posts.

Thank you,

Susan

I watched couple of his webinars, and he says, there's a voice within us that programmed to keep us safe.. at the same time keep us away from pursuing our endeavors.. He says when the voice kicks in.. acknowledge its presence, however, override its decision.

Hello Abie!
Thank you for your comment. Yes, that's right, we have to overcome this voice that prevents us taking chances. Well, it's important that we calculate before making the definitive decision.

Wish you a prosperous future,
and a nice weekend!
:-)
