The Only Thing I Would Change
When I was a much younger person, (let's say 57 years ago) I followed my brother Pete everywhere he went. He didn't mind so much, because he would have me try things out, just to be sure it was OK to do. I wasn't worried, and he did think about my safety. He gave me a safety helmet (Actually, it was a 4 quart cook pot salvaged from the trash heap) to wear so everything was cool.
We became the 'Dynamic Duo' of the neighborhood; 'Pete and Pot'
We walked dogs, washed cars, picked up trash, and ran small errands for people such as buying cigarettes or taking money to the old bookie on the corner.
it was our way of earning some spending money.
Children grow up, and along the way, little followers get left by the wayside. It's a natural process.
As adults we mingle with each other and sometimes grow into Networks
Networks work together. Make bands. Become groups. Become Affiliates.
That's how people become a TEAM.
Working for a common cause.
So there you have it.
If Ii were one of the powers to be in WA, the only thing I think I would change would be is the term"Follow Me"
"Join Me" sounds so much nicer.
'Follower'?
The term 'Follower' still reminds me of a time when my daily wardrobe consisted of a Tee shirt, short pants, my PF flyers and sporting a 4 quart saucepot on my head, running errands for people in the neighborhood.
Maybe it's a psychological thing.
Stay well...William

Oh gosh. Pete and Pot. How cute is that. I think you got the rough end of the deal thought Bill! - LoL.
Thanks for sharing.
Pete and Pot, I love it. Great story! I see both sides of the "follow me" thing. It can be taken either way.
Cutes story Bill. I can just *see* you both, Pete and Pot, walking around the neighborhood, working together. My mom made me follow my older sister everywhere too. She hated it, I loved it....hahaha.
I don't mind the word follower so much but I see it in a slightly different way. I see "Follow Me" as I want to follow the progress of that person, not so much as I'm a follower.
Thanks for sharing it.
Patty :)
Thanks for reading Patty. I can see your point just as well. One thing I failed to mention in this story was it was only several years ago a neighborhood friend told me that her dad put the name of 'Pete and Pot' on us.

Hey William, to me "follow" literally means that the person I am following was there ahead of me. "Join me" is indeed nicer, I agree. Hopefully I will "join" you after I follow you...LOL. I enjoyed reading your post. ~Jude
