Hiya people,
My name is Mike and I am from Hampshire, UK. I am now retired from dentistry and spend my time now writing and becoming proficient in on-line marketing.
Thanks to WA I have published my first book both for kindle and now in paperback titled 'Under a Cantabrian sky'.
Do I do it for the money? I don't think so, I do it to learn a new craft, it helps my writing and I love meeting people from all over the world
I lived in Colorado for 20 yrs but back home in UK now since 2004
I am married to a wonderful lady, Julie and its 4 years now.
I have 2 daughters aged 21 and 18 and 2 step-sons 20 and 17.
So an update, since joining WA I feel better about a lot of things. I now believe again that people are good and lovely and understanding and above all caring. The training is going well and all seems in place and moving along nicely. Working on my first E-Book
Excited about the new career in IM and I will give it my all. One of the main things in here is that it has fired up my love of writing again which had stalled. If nothing else in here, if money does not come and I am open to that then it would have propelled me back into writing my books.
Huge thanks to Kyle and Carson for their efforts and vision.

MikeyB - I'm not in CO any more - Stuck in Charlotte, NC for the moment (yes, it was a woman). Berthoud Pass had snow August 1st (yes, really) there's plenty of snow right now, and WP is gearing up to open this weekend! The county is not what it used to be - too many people building million dollar summer homes - so I had to get out. The town I like the best now is Leadville, but only lived there for a year. Great to hear from you!

Ha, couldn't help my self!! in three days I will be 49, and have been a budding writer for a few years. I retired from the US Navy in 05. I cant agree more with your assessment that WA helps your righting. It has juiced up my writing tremendously. I had occasion to visit the UK a few times in the navy. St. Mawgan UK , in Cornwall. Stayed at an inn at Newquay I believe. Had a great cream ale there, among other things

Ha, saw that coming. Well I can't argue with a guy following the best QB to ever play the game. The Raiders have come to represent the dark roiling cloud that occasionally overcasts my life, lol. They give me a finite little time on Sunday to wallow in self pity and recrimination. Frees up the rest of the week for self confidence and a pleasant countenance!

I write a lot of anything. I have a teen book about growing up called 'praying for greenbeans' hoping for publishing next summer. Another based on my life. with a twist. Have an e-book out next Sunday on Amazon and 2 more to follow. I just love to write and stories tend to just flow. I am so happy when I write and it only took me till 50 to figure that out.
Hi mike!!! I gave a look at your profile and I have to say I used to write (in Spanish my native language). Your profile believe it or not made me change my perspective a little bit. Not making it for the money but because you like to learn, that sounds good. Maybe I should see it as something I actually could enjoy!!! I hope to see you around!!!

I've long wanted to be a writer of books and movie scripts, but while I have done a lot of writing, they have been reports and papers for work. Besides WA, I'm now also making some time in my life to finally begin writing. I attended a seminar once by Sean Roach, 'Catapult Publishing' - it's about writing eBooks for Amazon. I also wanted to congratulate you on you choice of names for the girls. We have a Lauren too, although she's 26 now. I would certainly have considered Elyse too, but our son would never have kept it, so we named him Matthew.
I also have a small word of advice: Like me, I suspect you're one of life's thinkers. I'm having to discipline myself daily to follow the training letter by letter, rather than to partially redesign or reinvent it. I fear that I've thought myself out of several successes in my life and those who have beaten me to success have probably been the ones who do as they're told, not rethought their instructions. If we can both keep our fat fingers away from tinkering with the proven methods here I'm sure we can both zoom to success.

LOL thank you Paul, What have I tinkered with I am not sure? Yes Elyse is 20 tomorrow and my lovely Lauren is 17 on Thursday, the lights of my life. Was the dismal avatar my face or my Vesuvius man LOL anyway I agree that julies face is far more beautiful than either the former LOL. Yes I agree I must do more training but I find this arena good practice for my writing.

I'm just a little nervous about writing because my second level of training in WA shows me how to get a domain and transfer my incomplete website to that domain. I followed all the steps in the first ten lessons and only have my about me page and privacy page in my website. Unless I missed something, I don't even have my keywords in my sight and I have no idea what happens when I move my site to the domain I purchase. In other words, I really am very new to doing anything on the internet.
