Another change has made a big difference!

Well this time I have surprised my self
I am still trying to get my site to load faster as my very good friend who is a programmer told be that the now accepted 3 seconds is old fashioned and now you need to load in 2 seconds!!!!
Now as long as the website loads that is all that matters as other pages will come from you website when loaded (so I was again told)
Well I thought that I was happy with my speed but decided to do some looking to see what could be done. Ran the testing tool and one thing it has always said is to optimise images!
So I thought OK do I really even need a picture of a loudspeaker cable on the front page?
People know what there are here and what they want and everything is inside so why even put a pic on the front so I will remove it
BUT wait the pic had a link to wikipedia OK no problem will add the link to my logo instead and to keep Yoast in the green added a few words of text
So Job done pic gone, link rearranged and a few more words added
The results - WOW see below!
Desktop speed 97 - great
Mobile speed 96 - great
Checked with another tool - great
Checked with Pingdom site loading speed tool and 662 milliseconds and this was after three tests and all were the same!
SO after a bit of rearranging I have got my site ;loading speed from 2.5 seconds down to LESS than a second!!!
Am I pleased or what??

As a personal preference, I seldom include links with graphics. I prefer to use text links.
I wonder if you placed a very small photo (1/4 size) of the original sound cable photo, if your site would still load in less than 2 seconds?
I would try that, cause I am missing the photo of the cable. I don't know what site I am on.
Well I do not really think it vis necessary BUT I will monitor traffic for a week and see and can always revert
