Look at some of the gogetters training that is provided in WA. Bo the developer of this training provides a lot of advise which you may find useful.
You must continually come up with new content for your site.
Once the site is seen as an established one by the search engines and you have good SEO then you will gradually start to get traffic to your site.
You can always try a small PPC Campaign to get potential customers to your site as well.

The only solution that I could think of the moment is filling up the site with high quality content (a lot of them). Site trust will only come after awhile when visitors and site engines make valuation on the site.
So I believe focus on building the site i.e. content.
My opinion.

Hi Olly, here's my 2 cents on that matter. Being a gym enthusiast, you're all about health. So you can have a few articles on your sight related to "how to start your own health and fitness website" or how to start selling supplements online," and use WA to refer others to get started online.
