new Top Level Domain Suffixes
I got this email from Godaddy, and I assume that many others have had similar from there or elsewhere too?
What is the early word on SEO and marketability on this stuff- does anyone have the heads up...I have cross referenced this post with a discussion starter too, as I am keen to know what is what.

It seems GoDaddy is just trying to market their products. I lean toward the tradition of .com. .net. .org etc. Maybe someone who has used the new suffixes can tell us if they helped their business.
I would be more excited about the new IPHONE 6 coming up this Sept. So domain hosts, are trying to be what phone companies and other electronic companies are doing…better features??? Hmm ….I don't know, honestly. But thanks Andy for sharing, there's always something new.
Hi to all looking in on this one! As a 'marketer' i always try to find just one more way to sell something. Kyle and Carson here call me down frequently as SPAM ...when to me it is just trying to pass along things that have worked for me. However, GoDaddy is very good at 'selling' their 'things'! I look at them all the time just to be informed ...but The add they run is no more no less than an effort to sell what they make ...NOTHING wrong with that, but I just do NOT always buy, unless it fills a particular need I have or add BENEFIT to what I am doing! Good salespersons sell good stuff ...GoDaddy is very good and their stuff is good...IF YOU NEED IT!
Believe .com will always be the #1 TLD followed by .net, .org, because for the most part we are all traditionalists.
The new TLD's will put everyone in a comparable/competitive group, so all .photography would be a nice searchable option, or is that going to possible?
Yet, regardless of the TLD we know what is essential to make a niche, microfiche or affiliate business reach marketing success - searchable content.
However, owning a specific arena of knowledge or a topic makes branding a bit more dynamic, you think?
No matter what, the internet will be ever-changing.^_~
I have already succumbed to buying yet another domain with a neat new suffix, probably for no other reason than it looked like a great idea for a new niche site. Realistically I did not need it.. I think the new domain suffixes will add to the dilution of domain name influence. Selling these domains as 'Register a top-seller' is pushing the truth a little! We all know what is king - "CONTENT"

top man, and a good steer- and common sense of course in relation to content...I was wondering if there might be any payback in relation to say .photography, for example...
Hi Andy, I think if you where going to use a TLD .Photography it would best you had a Photography business. ie. You where a Photographer or you sold Photography gear. But at the end of the day it won't hurt if you weren't as long as the site was content rich and dedicated to Photography and that would be the same with any of the new TLD's coming on the market. I think .TIPS will be a good one.
for sure, in relation to business related...what was going on in my head was for local business marketing...for example losangeles.photography....or any variant there of....

I think this would be great for businesses and clients with businesses. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
