Ask the person who told you this just what they are referring to. The rest of us have absolutely no idea what "worldwide" settings they are talking about.

Ed, I do not think it is a good idea to use someone else's video testimonials. Testimonials are not all that trustworthy anymore because of sites like Fiverr. Sellers provide fake testimonials for products or services they have never used.
Do you have any referrals that joined through you that would be willing to do a testimonial? Have you written a detailed review about Wealthy Affiliate yet?
I personally have never done anything like this I really hope someone can help you better than I can.

Some countries are not allowed to join as a free member nor does the $19.00 for the first month as a Premium member due to high occurrences of fraud.
These are countries:
Bangladesh
Egypt
India
Kenya
Nigeria
Pakistan
Philippines
Vietnam

Lori thanks for the info. I have now done some research and found out about the problem. I am getting there slow but getting there
It's because of the high number of scams and fraud that come from certain countries.
Here's what Kyle said on this matter:
We don't allow Starter memberships in certain countries for many reasons. We have determined that because of high rates of fraud and gaming that we do not allow Starter accounts from these countries.
By all means they can still join as a Premium member, so they are not fully excluded but the rate at which fraud and gaming occurs from these countries along with diluting the quality of conversations here within the community, was enough of a decision for this to happen (based on A LOT of data, but no means was this decision rash).
People can absolutely still join from these countries, but they have to commit to a Premium membership.

Thank you for that John. it is frustrating when I came up against a wall. this does not came naturaly to me so stumbling blocks and just another hurdle to get over. I will not let the blocks stop me.
I don't agree with it being. However, I don't write the rules or this ban. They say it's because of the majority of spam coming from these countries.
The majority of spam and fake accounts come from a small number of countries so unfortunately, residents of these countries are no longer allowed to make free accounts, they have to sign up to premium straight away. You can target people from all over the world though, you don't have to promote only to one country. :)
