Action Taking VS Action Faking (Vegas 2019)
One of the most interesting parts of going to the Wealthy Affiliate Las Vegas conference is the trip home.
I love the trip home because I have time to reflect on everything that happened over the week. Vegas recharges my entrepreneurial batteries, and leaves me firing on all cylinders. Ideas just flow, and I'm scribbling things down on every scrap of paper or writing app I can find.
This year, on the way home, I saw an interesting tattoo while I waited for my plane to arrive in the Mccarran Airport.
The tattoo read "Self Made".
It got me thinking - why did this guy feel like he had to announce to the world that he was self made.
From appearances, it seemed like he wanted to give the impression that he was successful, and I see that a lot in the online entrepreneur space. There are a lot of people who are action fakers instead of action takers.
Getting a tattoo announcing how successful you are is an action faking move.
What are some action taking moves you can do this week?
- Attending a webinar from Jay on Friday is an action taking move.
- Publishing an article to your website is an action taking move.
- Asking a question in live chat is an action taking move.
- Logging into Wealthy Affiliate once a day is an action taking move.
There are a lot of things you can do in life to give the impression of success, but the sports cars and big houses don't tell the real story of how to earn money. Earning money and owning a successful online business involves a lot of behind the scenes work.
The work you need to do is laid out within the Wealthy Affiliate training. People just like you are taking action and seeing results. It may take YOU 3, 6, 12, or 24 months to get there, but it WILL happen for those that are engaged here in the community.
Don't get caught up in thinking about what you have not accomplished. Don't worry about cars and houses just yet.
Focus on creating small daily habits that will get you closer to your goals. If you are not sure what to focus on, get in the habit of writing every day. Here's a great post on how to simplify that process: Writing For Your Website, Simplified. If the only thing you do this year is get into the habit of writing every day, you'll be well on your way to making money online.
I'll keep this post short and sweet. I've got a ton of ideas from Vegas that I want to try out, so I have to get to work!
Wealthy Affiliate Vegas Trip 2019 Photos
My laptop broke mid-trip, so I had to take a trip to Cesar's Palace to the Apple store!
A chrome Popeye
Dinner at Crush, another MGM gem!
Japanese beer from the sushi night at the Skylofts!
Jan/Feb is always Chinese New Year so there's a lot of Chinese themed decorations around the casinos.
A little detour never hurt anyone...
The secret to success is using Wealthy Affiliate branded juice to charge my electronics!

Thanks Nathaniell!. Love the photos. I most likely will go to Vegas in 2019. I was reminded of what Earl Nightingale said about self made. "We are all self made (even the failures) Only the successful will admit it."

Let's not "tip toe" around the subject. Post your price list here. Then again, if we're talking Vegas prices, you can keep em!
Well said. I have an issue personally with taking action in a way that isn’t beneficial to growing my business. I spend a lot of time on watching training etc and really I should be writing, writing and writing more.
Watching videos helps too! But you are right, that getting words published to your site is the strongest way to get your business growing.
I am feeling happy for your list of to-do's and oh-so-proud of what you've done. Funny wanna be tat story! intersting perspective. Just wonder why someone would do that but to each their own and a bag o chips. These pictures are great too! I was hoping to see more of them🙂🙂🙂

Who knows - maybe he did have something important he was working on, or maybe he's retired from a business sale and living it up in Vegas. Hard to say, but my guess is that it was a faker move.
Thanks for your post! I want to show I'm an action taker by the level of success I achieve. Anyone can be an action faker...

Great! What kind of action are you taking? My goal for today is to respond to comments and refresh one old article on my website.
