Your site will look more professional if you'll add site icon to your site.
Here is an image for a better understanding: 
To do so, go to your dashboard --> appearances --> customize --> site identity.
There you can add an image, which you want to appear in when people visit your site.

I'm not clear on what MP13 means with 'add a image that you want to appear in' , let's re-ask for more information....
What ever image you want. It's better to choose one that is more like an icon. The photo/image that you'll choose will appear in the circled area (in the upper post).
It's an image that will appear in your web browser. One of my site is about organic foods and so I have a pic of fruit and veg as my site identity. All the best.
That is a favicon and you can add this for your site identity this explains it more fully and if you check Marions training out it will show you how to create one.. some themes have it within the custom features. quite simple to do What is a Favicon?
