Content Ideas in the Dog Pet Niche and How to Monetize Everything You Do, eg My Walk in the Park

Two questions that come up a lot from beginners in affiliate marketing are:

1. How to generate content ideas in my niche?

2. How do we make money?

Content ideas are everywhere, so much so that I've seen Jay recommend carry a notebook to record these ideas as they come up. Some striking ideas popped up on my daily walk recently that I thought I'd share:

An Emotional Tribute in Memory of a Dog ---> Content Ideas and Monetization

The pic says it all, beautiful message on what we can learn from dogs, some toys to celebrate the dog's life and pass on the joy to others. This was left by someone at the gate of the forest park, I didn't know Bella, but it was beautiful and a new idea to me.

This message had me in tears, it was left at the entrance to the walk...

The toys were used by other dogs and returned to the basket for about a month...

And when the windmill blew in the breeze it was special...

I could certainly get 1500 words out of this and springboard ideas for many other posts. Google loves quality original content, and plenty of that gives your site authority and traffic. And when it comes to monetizing, look at the toys, tennis balls, [frisbies were there too], that little windmill thing - there are commissions to be made on dog supplies, toys, food, when you join affiliate programs, and when you give people ideas and show them the possibilities. Honestly, this little memorial gave me tears for about 2 weeks every time I passed by, and made me appreciate the dogs being walked there, which reminds me, pooper scoopers!

Summer Dog Care - Hydration! ---> Content Ideas and Monetization

This pic is from today, it was a rare moment of scorching sunshine in Ireland and two girls walking their hairy friend actually brought a stainless steel bowl and shared water from their water bottles with the dog! There's whole lot of content ideas right there related to summer pet care and heat and health. Then look at the items on which you could make commissions, maybe there's not a lot in steel bowls, you say to yourself, but by directing your audience to a dog supplies outlet or amazon you've reminded them of one item they should pick up and then they'll think of others while they are there.

Basically content provides you the opportunity to remind people to shop, AND to take better care of their pet - win win, making commissions on sales AND providing value. That was the very first time I'd personally seen anyone think of their dog's hydration, and doesn't he look like he needs it?

Writing My Blog While Walking - Time to Switch Off ---> Mindfulness Niche Opportunity!

These days I find myself writing blogs in my head, thinking about website structure and missing the view, the beautiful forest and lake, and forgetting to breathe in the fresh air and listen to the birds - yes, we have to remember to switch off - and yes, there is an affiliate program for that too!

The latest neuroscience recommends downloading a mindfulness clock which rings 1-3 times an hour and encourages you to stop whatever you are doing and yawn and stretch slowly, and the best explanation and perhaps inspiration for this new science however likely comes already from the innate and age old wisdom of our pets:

Of course all the same principles apply to the cat niche. But on the subject of yawning and mindfulness there are affiliate programs too. Some require you to be an established authority site with good traffic already, and some don't.

Oh, remember Jay's notebook, well he recommends a nice little moleskine, and there's an affiliate program for that too, several in fact. And where do you learn to do affiliate marketing - well on a platform such as this, Wealthy Affiliate, which you guessed it, has an affiliate program! :)

I've given you examples of how everything can be monetized, though as you will learn in the training not necessarily on the one site!
