Finally! I Started Building A List!
Hi everyone!
After years of promoting "the bad way" (i.e. by showing directly the homepage of my sites, which lead me near to nowhere), I finally made a big decision. I created a capture page, linked to a free e-book, and started to send some traffic on it.
I got 4 people on my list after 12 hours of promoting. Looking at the stats, I saw that I generated something like 300 visits on my page. So it's approximatively 1 subscriber for 100 visits, which I found awesome: to have 1 people subscribing, I used to generate something like 700-1000 clicks before starting building a list!

The basics: you create a capture page that leads the visitors to your offer and put them into your list, then you send mails regularly to promote other offers and send people informations. I use a site called LeadsLeap, which provides a pre-written e-book to give to your list. It's very helpful, you should try it.
This is very good stats. Will encourage many of us to do the same approach. Did you use a special theme or just add a capture page to your existing theme please. Regards
I built my capture page with a WordPress plugin called WP Lead Plus X. It's a paid plugin that comes with pre-made templates. Very easy to use, I built my page very fast (and I feel it's not too ugly!).

So great news at your side. You do it right way.
How you funnel visitors to the capture page? Is this a popup or just a call in the text?
I bring visitors to my capture page mostly with traffic exchanges and safelist mailers. I don't use any popup for the moment, I just bring them to the page directly.
Not sure what traffic exchange is. What is safelist mailers?
