I wrote about the lost art of Image SEO B4 - but hey I'm glutton for punishment so... Proper quickie - We created a post about gamer jobs on WFHW and a couple of readers clipped

I'd only see this helping out if the user actually used the URL and is giving you a link from the image to the WFHW site. Not sure why someone would do this, but it's great if they do!

exactly what happened clipped the image and included a big fat juicy link back from a very active forum :)

Did you check it in your stats? It shows there where the raw clicks come from. I was amazed a few weeks ago when one of my discussions hit first page and I didn't know it until I saw it in the stats! Now that same discussion is page 1 rank 1.

This will be interesting to follow because and image is different than the usual blog, article, or page. Keep us informed!

Something to think about... thanks for post.

I've been on a mission to unsubscribe my main email account from any email list that doesn't leave me eager to open it bringing be instant joy... That means a lot of unsubscribin

From the opposite end, one of the things I like about Aweber is the schpeel you can put on your "unsubscribe" page. Stuff like "Man! Do you REALLY want to miss out on ..."

Yeah having a second chance to hook is cool

Boy, I know what you mean on the lists.. I have to say, I think I would have stayed with that one too. Sounds like a go getter. I can say I do unsubscribe pretty much in the same manner as you do.

Even though she's new she won me over it could be the start of a very profitable relationship - and I ain't talking money either!

Awesome! Nice when something takes such an unexpected and pleasant turn.

Yes, my Inbox is becoming fat from the offer I used to get everyday

Time to start scrolling to the bottom of the screen and pressing un-subscribe as habit buddy.

Had, well it seemed like thousands....a real sucker for a free e-book...(good to know) they are a good offer for a sign up for sure....

it was getting real stupid so I trimmed the tree and let the other branches breath a abit.....much better....

.most the time I come to WA for 90% of my knowledge any ways...no need for all that mail and eBooks'....and my document folder thanks me....it was carrying quite a load....

So being long winded, yes a breath of fresh air when you un-subscribe....he haw!!!!

Great news - now just package all those ebooks up as freebies to others hehe

have recently subscribed to a few lists which are similar to each other simply for the research of how others are doing things, then unsubscribing from all the ones that are pretty much doing the same as each other. This is an important lesson in defining your own level, as well as how you most effectively target those who can most benefit from your ability to filter in this way. It helps spark article ideas which back up the processes I am going through in my own self-education.

You hit it there - research ...

PS: wow here since 2009.... glad your in the game now ;)

I have subscribed to countless email lists over the last 2 or so years desperately trying to lean the ins and outs of internet marketing. Funny thing most of the owners of those lists all promoted WA which eventually brought me here.

I soon realized that I didn't need to subscribe to them any longer because all the information they had provided all came from their training within WA and I could just join and get it all and more.

So I just unsubscribed from them all although I have to admit I miss all the juicy free ebooks they provided =)

LOL yeah so juicy that you've read them all right ;) Strange circle of influence if they all lead to WA I'm thinking

Sad to say, but I had to unsubscribe from PPG's list. I still visit her blog occasionally but her e-mails are all offers from this guy or that. Not a lot of value.

Umm I must say I hear all the whoa ha but never really did get much all the yip yip about PPG .. call me the black sheep! I only judge on "personal" value

I have done the same thing....because it was PPG once I followed in blind trust....never again....not found of what she is selling....one unsubscribe for sure....

HI, firstly I made an email box for everything except WA and WA related items so that I could more easily see what was coming my way that I might not want to continue with.
This seemed to work becasue I did a cull about six months ago and to date I haven't been discovered by many and those that have I didn't accept or unsubscribed immediately. There are still one or two which irritatingly I can't seem to unsubscribe from no matter what I try but it's now a simple delete key job when they arrive. The one player that I have kept since I started IM which is about a year ago now, and before WA is Hubspot because they have some good publications which are free and I find them useful to go through.

Regards

Hudson

Now I also "was" on the hubspots email list .. It's probably one of the best "opt-out" email video's I've seen..

I actually spent time yesterday unfriending a lot of folks on FB from when I was involved with another company. Really liked the product but the support was hugely lacking. Got tired of reading their stuff and the money you could make.

I've committed myself to WA and so am "trimming away" those that distract me from my goals. Clear your inbox...clear your mind.

Exactly .. I like that "Clear your inbox clear your mind"

I've unsubscribed from almost everyone. I could see some value learning from other marketers, but I'm learning so much actively, ie searching for stuff I WANT to know, that it's tough to keep up on someone trying to feed me more stuff in my inbox.

Plus, I mean, I don't want to knock the industry, but honestly, most marketers are maintaining a list JUST to provide themselves with an 'in' to sell me something. They provide value, but it's a sleezy kind of 'the first one is free' type value.

Looking forward to hear what everyone else has to say!

Cheers for the insights and your experience Nathan..

I AM knocking the industry and that does include the majority of them out there ...
... You said it and I;ll second it - it's a sleezy type of added value and it soon stops.
