Not overly concerned with it, but would like to understand the rank numbers. I'm new and I just seek numbers. Don't understand them. Some are high. Some are low. Can't discern b
The rank is purely an engagement number. It's how much you engage with others here and help them. It changes quickly when the number is high, slower as you get closer to the top. Andre hit it spot on, though. Don't worry about it.
You can just look on your profile, note the current ranking and check it out at other times. But it's best to be focused on your content writing with your website than where you stand in the rankings. It will move up and down which also depends on others around you as well.
Website first and help where you can along the way.

Thanks for your response. I did check out that link and it left me with lots of questions. Probably ones that will make more sense to me as time goes on. Its only my 3rd day lol. At this point, I know where my number stands and I know how to check my stats, so I will just watch and learn. Thank you!
It usually changes as you are more active with WA discussions and such. You will notice a change starting the next day. Just keep an eye on the blue box next to your profile pic.
One I even had to log out, then log back in for my rank to update. If you're like me and rarely log out or even turn your computer off, sometimes a little refreshing helps.
Thanks for your response! Yes, it changes. My rank currently says 13146. How does that number compare to other numbers. If my ranking goes up which means I may be more active does that mean my number will increase? What does a low number mean? What does a high number mean? If you can direct me to a FAQ that might help, but thanks!

Overall, the lower your number, the higher your ranking. But as you go thru the training material, you will definitely see your number begin to drop, especially after completing such tasks a leaving post in discussion groups.
But let it not be your goal. Naturally, you will rank easy when you're very involved with WA. You'll see how fast that number changes soon.
In the upper-right hand corner of your priofile will appear your rank. If
you click on that number, you will get a breakdown of the various factors that go into determining your rank. You have your helper number( how much you have helped others by answering questions) doing activities on WA(posting blogs, your websites, etc.) This is your activity rank, etc. Your member rank is the composite of your Helper Rank, Creator Rank and Activity Rank, ans should coincide with the number that appears in the little blue box on your profile. Thank you! I noticed that. I did go over there and check out the rank box and read the info. I guess I still had lots of questions and just got a general understanding, do good, improve your rank lol. I did notice the helper, creator, and activity ranks have numbers by each member. If a person had a helper rank of 5, does that mean they helped 5 members? I'm sure I must have overlooked some obvious information somewhere.
You will eventually have a video on your ranking, but your ranking drops as you build your website and help other people with their questions and the more you are involved with people, then your ranking will drop.
