Happy Dad
Well ok I am a proud Dad and Lee Gamelin (WA) would agree with me on this.
While I spend many hours on this site, whether thats good, bad or a habit, I don't know but I can lose myself here and while away the hours (yes that is the correct while to use, not wile) We need to bring our heads up or have a day off to breathe real air and look around at what's important.
My oldest daughter last night asked me if I could take her to a college interview at Kingston College, UK. Now Mondays are a very important day for me at WA, new day, new page of goals. So for those of you who have taken my POWER goals course (and thats not many....) I had to strike a red pen through Monday as an 'mr' or 'minor reminder'. A minor reminder is an event or action required which reminds us that we do, in fact have a life.
However having scratched off Monday, i picked my daughter up and took her to her open day. Well, surprise upon miraculous surprise she came walking up to me with a subtle thumb up that she had GOT IN!
Now, to see your child and as a dad, especially your first born daughter beaming with pride and showing the biggest widest, white smile that she had really accomplished something was worth a million pounds in WA. That I was there with her on August 19th 2013 when she realised her dream is something that money cannot replace.
And so I am home and back on the computer tapping away and still trying to make £20, phew, but I can keep it real and know that both my lovely daughters are now secured in college.
Keep it all in perspective WA's
